Wood is recruiting for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible to supervise a team of pipeline engineers and designers to translate the limited information from the Concept Selection Report and/or Basis for Design to Basis for Design and/or Front End Design & project specifications as well as Detailed Design. Supervise a team of Pipeline engineers to carry out the Pipeline Engineering FEED and DD activities (Define stage and Execute stage) for an assigned area of a specific project in order to generate the relevant Pipeline Engineering FEED deliverables on time according to DCAF requirements.

Position is based in Oman for a long-term assignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Pipeline Engineer will be responsible:
  • Prepare Pipeline Engineering Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) Catalogue for projects
  • Supervise a team of Pipeline engineers and Designer assigned to a project area (supervised by Project Pipeline Lead)
  • Contribute to Basis for Design, Basis of Design, and Project Specifications/Philosophies
  • Develop Pig Trap Layout/Plot Plan based on PFS/UFS, Technical safety requirements
  • Carry out Stress Analysis for pipelines
  • Familiar with software viz. Google earth, ARCGIS, GPS
  • Identify / Finalize the pipeline route
  • Develop / Approve specification for Pipeline materials and specialty items
  • Follow Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition
  • Initiate, check, and/or approve Pipeline Engineering Deliverables
  • Provide input / Review other discipline deliverable as appropriate.
  • Support procurement and construction activities.
  • Participate in HAZID, Design Review, HAZOP, IPF, 3D Model Reviews and various HSE related workshop.

Experience:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

We are looking for an exceptional and mission-driven Technical Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations at our site. The site will already be operational with its first capture container. You will build a team to operate the unit, ensure it runs reliably and lead the commissioning of new containers as we scale up capacity in 2025 and beyond.

Responsibilities

As Technical Operations Manager, you will:

  • Own day-to-day operations of our DAC site.
  • Lead the commissioning and integration of additional DAC containers as we scale capture capacity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working closely with our engineering team in Belgium.
  • Collaborate with HQ teams to test and validate technical upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and drive improvements in uptime, throughput, and energy efficiency.
  • Develop and implement operating procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and operational metrics.
  • Report key operational metrics to HQ and contribute to cross-functional planning.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Hire, train, and lead the local operations staff to build a strong, capable team.
  • Source and manage local contractors, service providers, and spare parts suppliers.
  • Serve as our local point of contact for logistics, site access, and stakeholder coordination in Oman.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electro-mechanical, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Proven track record operating complex machinery or industrial systems, managing projects, and leading teams.
  • 6+ years of experience in industrial operations, site management, or commissioning roles.
  • Hands-on problem solver with a strong “doer” mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Belgium or other project sites.

Nice to haves

  • Experience commissioning or operating modular energy or process equipment (e.g. power generation, water treatment, renewables).
  • Familiarity with DAC or other carbon removal technologies.
  • Experience working in the Gulf region or with local permitting and regulatory frameworks.
  • Background in industrial automation, controls, or data monitoring systems.
  • Experience managing operations and reporting in a startup or fast-growing environment.

• Ensure audit engagements are conducted in compliance with internal auditing principles, the Audit Charter, and the Internal Audit Manual.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations, Central Bank of Oman (CBO) guidelines, and relevant risk management frameworks applicable to business operations.

• Identify compliance gaps and recommend risk mitigation strategies to ensure operational resilience and regulatory adherence.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory:

• Establish strong relationships with branch management, business units, and support functions to understand operational workflows and associated risks.

• Provide advisory services to audited areas, promoting best practices in risk control, governance, and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate with external auditors, CBO examiners, and quality assurance teams to facilitate the sharing of necessary audit-related information.

• Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance awareness of audit processes, risk management, and internal controls.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain high-quality, well-documented working papers in TeamMate, ensuring audit evidence is accurate and supports findings.

• Ensure strict compliance with the bank’s policies, including Human Resources, Information Security, and Internal Audit policies.

• Manage audit engagements within pre-determined time budgets and deadlines, ensuring efficient resource utilization and adherence to audit timelines.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

• Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or ACCA are preferred

Experience:

The service holder is part of the H3SE team which focuses on the management of health, safety, and security aspects of the Project. Missions of the service holder are to:

  1. Interface with EPSCC contractors, TotalEnergies EP Oman, Sohar Industrial Port Company (SIPC), Solar plant project, partners, relevant Omani Authorities, and COMPANY’s H3SE team on-site.
  2. Ensure key health, safety and security risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated to as low as reasonably practicable level. The job holder will document the assessment process, monitor, and liaise with EPSCC Contractors to implement prevention and/or mitigation measures. He/she supervises continuity and cascading of H3SE risk assessment during the construction of Marsa LNG project.
  3. Ensure that EPSCC Contractors establish documented health, safety, and security management system with clear objectives, targets and relevant procedures for the construction of Marsa LNG project. He/she will establish H3SE monitoring and reporting system to consolidate and report the overall H3SE performance.
  4. Elaborate Company HSE-MS and associated procedures/plans as highlighted in Marsa LNG HSE Management Plan with due consideration for the need for bridging plans (being either with EPSCC Contractors HSE-MS or TotalEnergies Service Oman affiliate HSE-MS) and for the SIMOPS.
  5. Ensure that EPSCC Contractors establish emergency response plans, including medevac and security plan, aligned with COMPANY’s emergency response plan, and ensuring EPSCC Contractor to perform emergency trainings, drills, and exercises regularly.
  6. Actively contribute to deliver Marsa LNG project on schedule and budget and meet the H3SE targets and objectives.

  1. Well experienced in establishing of Health, Safety and Security management system and procedures (HSS MP) in line with COMPANY’s HSE MS expectations. Experience in monitoring and reporting for health, safety, and security key performance indicators.
  2. Hands-on experience in coordinating and execution of H3SE Audits and Inspections and monitoring the close-out of findings.
  3. Experience in coordinating safety culture campaign and follow up with EPSCC Contractors.
  4. Well experienced in setting up H3SE training requirements for different functions within a project, medical fitness to work system, and medical infrastructure on construction site.
  5. Experience in coordinating emergency response, emergency trainings, drills and exercises.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Assist Environmental Consultant
  2. Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation and recommendation reports.
  3. Collaborate with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, engineers, and other specialists, and experts in law and business to address environmental problems.
  4. Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures.
  5. Provide technical-level support for environmental remediation and litigation projects, including remediation system design and determination of regulatory applicability.
  6. Monitor progress of environmental improvement programs.
  7. Inspect industrial and municipal facilities and programs in order to evaluate operational effectiveness and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  8. Provide administrative support for projects by collecting data, providing project documentation, training staff, and performing other general administrative duties.

Responsibilities
  • Lead regional process safety standards, design tools, and work processes.

  • Assist during technical due diligence and post-acquisition safety integration.
  • Collaborate with plant management to ensure up-to-date PSM systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, petroleum, or process safety engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in petrochemical, oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in a process safety role.
  • Experience in industrial gas manufacturing or oil & gas production preferred.
  • Strong understanding of process safety management, risk management, and regulations.
  • Experience with risk assessment tools like LOPA, and software such as PHAST, HYSYS, Flarenet, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey safety protocols and influence stakeholders.

  • Experience in industrial gas manufacturing or oil & gas production preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of process safety management systems, risk management, and compliance.
  • Ability to identify hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of quantitative risk assessment techniques such as LOPA.
  • Proficiency with engineering software tools like PHAST, PHA-Pro, Hysys, Flarenet, FlareSim, Pipenet/AFT is advantageous.
  • Experience with HAZOP, Management of Change (MOC), and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of influencing and engaging teams and managing interfaces with consultants, construction, and operations.
