Post-Doc Position in Sanofi / WIDGET consortium

Expert in Biology, Molecular Biology, NGS & Single Cells

Abstract:

As part of the WIDGeT consortium (23M€, 5 years), we are currently researching a Postdoctoral candidate with a strong background in molecular biology and NGS for single cell application.

Overview of the research project:

The WIDGeT consortium (Viral Vector Intelligent Design for Gene Therapy) aims to accelerate the development of gene therapies using viral vectors derived from adeno-associated viruses (AAV) for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration and hereditary podocytopathies (kidney diseases), leveraging the potential of artificial intelligence (AI). As part of this challenging consortium, our team proposed to develop a new technology to provide very sensitive information of AAV’s transgene expression at the single cell level. This technology is based on droplet microfluidic, DNA barcoded, scRT-PCR and NGS.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, design, and execute complex experiments and analyze data.
2. Write (Lab Book) and Present (PowerPoint) research findings.
3. Mentor and co-supervise engineer, technician and undergraduate students involved in the research project.
4. Report and collaborate with other members of the consortium.

Qualifications :

1. Ph.D. in biology or molecular biology
2. Strong Experience in Single-cell RNA sequencing
3. Strong background in molecular biology, NGS experiments and analysis.
4. Background in single cells experiment (10x, flow cytometer.)
5. Appetite for bench work & wet lab
6. Appetite for challenging project
7. Background in Bioinformatic
8. Familiarity with statistical software (Prism, Spotfire, other…)
9. Fluent in English
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Experience with Recombinant AAV is a plus.
12. Knowledge in organoids/tissues preparation is a plus.
13. Experience in screening is a plus.
14. Background in Droplet microfluidic is optional.

The Project Team:

A dedicated team was created in 2024 to tackle this challenging project. The team is composed of one researcher, one engineer and one technician.

Our innovative Team (~8 people) is based in Vitry-Sur-Seine (Suburbs of Paris) at Sanofi R&D site. We have two laboratories (L1 & L2) dedicated to droplet microfluidic technology, with access to diverse technologies (ARIA Fusion (FACS), PCR, qPCR and NextSeq Illumina).

• Phase identification in low-and high-grade steels under different heat treatments and mechanical processes.
• Crystallographic orientation mapping using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) to build a dataset for deep learning (DL) training.
• Selection and implementation of high-performance DL algorithms for phase recognition.
• Investigation of the correlation between microstructure and HE sensitivity.

Senior Technical Writer (ERP Products)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to create, manage, and maintain high-quality documentation for our ERP software products. This role is essential for ensuring that users, partners, and implementers can efficiently understand, configure, and deploy our ERP system.

You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and QA teams in an Agile development environment to produce comprehensive user guides, functional and technical documentation, and API references. You will also be responsible for maintaining a structured documentation repository, release notes, and training materials.

1. Documentation Development & Maintenance
