What your day will look like

  • Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology
  • Liaise with other Canonical's experts (mastering the Cloud, Kubernetes, Security or Safety, etc) to aggregate our collective knowledge into comprehensive solutions for our prospective clients
  • Participate to the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux, including demos and PoCs
  • Convey market requirements to key stakeholders in our organization, and sometimes participate to the development or refining of generic solutions to unlock market potential
  • Be both a customer advocate and a trusted advisor to Canonical

What we are looking for in you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Extensive Linux experience - Debian or Ubuntu preferred
  • Solid embedded Linux experience - Yocto or RTOS
  • Fluency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
  • Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating and understanding customer environment and needs
  • Result-oriented, ability to multi-task

  • Albeit many projects can be done remotely, the successful candidate will be willing to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences

What you will do:
• Work in a safe and sustainable way applying Volvo principles
• Directly communicating with customers to understand precisely the repairs and diagnostics required to satisfactorily meet their expectations
• Repair the vehicle to Volvo’s standard using the correct tools and the Volvo Standard Text (VST) always with the objective to work within the specified repair times

Overview of the role:



The purpose of the role will be to ensure that the assigned service jobs are executed in line with established work procedures, time standards and housekeeping standards so that the overall objectives of productivity are met or exceeded.

What you will do:
• Carry out basic repairs and troubleshooting on engine/drivetrain/chassis
• Carry out level 11 GR repair (examples: replacement of brakes, clutches, steering, suspension, etc.)
• Carry out Level 111 diagnosis and repair rectification using hi-tech diagnostic and repair tools and equipment
• Collect and present technical information for feedback to principals for product improvement
• Aware of the hazards and the risks associated with their work activities
• Use and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment
• Ensure quality of job to avoid errors/rework and take actions to resolve customer concerns to improve customer engagement
• Comply with company QHSE guidelines and standard operating procedures and report all incidents to the supervisor
• Participate in toolbox talk meetings and undertake safety awareness trainings as provided by the company
• Perform other duties as assigned

*Proven experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry (minimum 5 years preferred). *Strong understanding of European vehicles, performance cars, and body repair processes. *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Arabic is a plus). *Good organizational and multitasking abilities. *Familiarity with job card systems and workshop management software. *Basic technical knowledge and the ability to explain repairs in simple terms. *High level of professionalism, patience, and customer service orientation.

Overview Of The Role

We are looking for a dedicated HSSE Officer to join our team at OMASCO in Oman. The HSSE Officer will be responsible for managing the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards across all OMASCO operations in Oman. This role requires self-leadership and initiative while receiving strategic direction and technical guidance from the Central Automotive Government Affairs & HSSE Department based in the UAE

What You Will Do

  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and alignment with the Automotive Division’s HSSE policies, standards, and procedures
  • Cultivate a proactive HSSE culture, drive awareness, mitigate operational risks, and support the business in achieving its compliance and safety performance objectives
  • Enhance business unit compliance status with regards to HSSE related government regulations, policies, and standards
  • Maintain firefighting and alarm systems, security systems, environmental clearance certificates, and hazardous waste storage and disposal permits
  • Monitor emissions and ensure they are within permissible ranges
  • Conduct health screenings and organize emergency drills
  • Manage incidents and emergencies effectively to minimize harm to assets, operations, reputation, and business
  • Facilitate training, certification, and regular briefing of site security
  • Ensure all facilities are maintained in good condition and compliant with HSSE standard

Required Skills To Be Successful

  • A Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Sustainability, or relevant scientific fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • NEBOSH IGC & IOSH certifications
  • 2-3 years of experience as a field HSSE officer, preferably in Automotive scope of operation or similar operations
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skill

You will be part of the MD Office at OMASCO, working closely with the Central Automotive Government Affairs & HSSE Department based in the UAE. What your day will look like

  • Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology
  • Liaise with other Canonical's experts (mastering the Cloud, Kubernetes, Security or Safety, etc) to aggregate our collective knowledge into comprehensive solutions for our prospective clients
  • Participate to the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux, including demos and PoCs
  • Convey market requirements to key stakeholders in our organization, and sometimes participate to the development or refining of generic solutions to unlock market potential
  • Be both a customer advocate and a trusted advisor to Canonical

What we are looking for in you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Extensive Linux experience - Debian or Ubuntu preferred
  • Solid embedded Linux experience - Yocto or RTOS
  • Fluency in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
  • Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating and understanding customer environment and needs
  • Result-oriented, ability to multi-task

  • Relevant experience in the Automotive industry
  • Albeit many projects can be done remotely, the successful candidate will be willing to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences

Overview of the role:

The primary focus of this role is to carry out dealership services on customer vehicles as per company standards and ensure optimum quality with increased productivity and technical efficiency, thereby individually contributing to generate workshop revenue without any repeat concerns.

What you will do:

• Prompt execution of service repairs requested on the repair order as per schedule provided

• Report additional job required in car with cost estimate

• Maintain check sheets and log sheets

• Upkeep tools and equipment in the individual bay as per company standards

• Proper diagnosis and trouble shooting

• Conduct final inspection as per the standard operating procedures

• Deliver the desired efficiency and productivity as per targets given

• Ensure prompt punch in and punch out to get the accurate booking hours

• Complete the training course/internal assessment and other on the job training as per the schedule provided by the Training Manager

• Enroll and get certifications as per the principal’s guidelines

• Ensure follow up of standard operating procedures in technician role

• Ensure fire extinguishers are kept close by for immediate action in case of working with fuel systems

• Report all incidents to the supervisor

Required skills to be successful

• Ability to work under pressure

About the team:

In this role, you will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment reporting directly to the Service Manager.

• ITI/ Diploma or Engineering Qualification

• 2-3 years’ experience as a Technician with an Automotive dealership

Overview of the role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that assigned service jobs are executed in line with established work procedures, time standards, and housekeeping standards to meet or exceed productivity objectives.

What you will do:

  1. Carry out basic repairs and troubleshooting on engine/drivetrain/chassis.
  2. Perform Level 11 GR repairs (e.g., replacement of brakes, clutches, steering, suspension).
  3. Conduct Level 111 diagnosis and repair rectification using high-tech diagnostic and repair tools and equipment.
  4. Collect and present technical information for feedback to principals for product improvement.
  5. Be aware of hazards and risks associated with work activities.
  6. Use and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment.
  7. Ensure quality of work to avoid errors and rework; resolve customer concerns to improve engagement.
  8. Comply with company QHSE guidelines and SOPs; report incidents to the supervisor.
  9. Participate in toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Team:

Reporting to the Workshop Controller, you will work closely with the workshop team and stakeholders.

  • Certified Pro-technician preferred.
  • Valid Oman driver’s license.

Overview of the role
We are looking for a dedicated HSSE Officer to join our team at OMASCO in Oman. The HSSE Officer will be responsible for managing the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards across all OMASCO operations in Oman. This role requires self-leadership and initiative while receiving strategic direction and technical guidance from the Central Automotive Government Affairs & HSSE Department based in the UAE

What you will do
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and alignment with the Automotive Division’s HSSE policies, standards, and procedures
• Cultivate a proactive HSSE culture, drive awareness, mitigate operational risks, and support the business in achieving its compliance and safety performance objectives
• Enhance business unit compliance status with regards to HSSE related government regulations, policies, and standards
• Maintain firefighting and alarm systems, security systems, environmental clearance certificates, and hazardous waste storage and disposal permits
• Monitor emissions and ensure they are within permissible ranges
• Conduct health screenings and organize emergency drills
• Manage incidents and emergencies effectively to minimize harm to assets, operations, reputation, and business
• Facilitate training, certification, and regular briefing of site security
• Ensure all facilities are maintained in good condition and compliant with HSSE standard

Required skills to be successful
• A Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Sustainability, or relevant scientific fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
• NEBOSH IGC & IOSH certifications
• 2-3 years of experience as a field HSSE officer, preferably in Automotive scope of operation or similar operations
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skill

You will be part of the MD Office at OMASCO, working closely with the Central Automotive Government Affairs & HSSE Department based in the UAE. The team is committed to maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible work environment in line with both local laws and the Group’s HSSE expectations.
