HMR Consultants is seeking a dedicated Environmental Consultant to join our team in
Muscat, Oman. This role involves leveraging your environmental expertise and leadership
skills to deliver high-quality projects and support HMR’s growth across diverse sectors. You
will engage with clients, senior executives, and front-line employees to implement effective
environmental solutions.
Key Qualifications & Responsibilities:
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably western educated) in Environmental Engineering,
Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience with leading international environmental consulting firms.
• Expertise in environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), E&S constraints
screening, E&S due diligence, audits, compliance reporting, IFC Performance
Standards and World Bank EHS Guidelines.
• Proficient English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong project management skills including budgeting, resource allocation, and
operations management.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and legislation.
• Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to explore new areas of expertise.
• Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Skilled in simplifying complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently and delegate when necessary.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure repeat business.
• Contribute to business development by preparing proposals and identifying cross
selling opportunities.
