We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Personal Trainer / Fitness Instructor to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and fitness, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to inspire and guide guests or members to achieve their fitness goals. This role involves conducting personal training sessions, leading group classes, providing fitness assessments, and maintaining a safe, clean, and energetic gym environment.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

• Conduct one-on-one personal training sessions tailored to individual client goals and fitness levels.
• Lead group fitness classes such as yoga, Pilates, HIIT, strength training, aerobics, or other wellness-based activities.
• Perform fitness assessments and develop customized training plans for guests or members.
• Provide instruction on correct use of gym equipment, proper exercise form, and injury prevention.
• Monitor and motivate clients during workouts to ensure they are performing exercises safely and effectively.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the fitness center, equipment, and studio areas at all times.
• Provide basic nutritional guidance in alignment with fitness goals (if certified).
• Maintain accurate records of training sessions, client progress, and attendance.
• Assist with the promotion of fitness programs, challenges, or wellness initiatives.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest or member inquiries and concerns.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in fitness, wellness, and training techniques.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• Certification in Personal Training or Fitness Instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, or equivalent).
• CPR and First Aid certification (required).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a personal trainer or group fitness instructor.
• Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, anatomy, and nutrition basics.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.

• Manage day to day operations for the Spa. Maintain and motivate the entire spa team and enforce a culture of care and service excellence among Colleagues. Assist the Director of Spa in the day-to-day operations of the Spa Department. Effectively interact and handle hotel guests and spa members to ensure exemplary spa experience is achieved.
• Manage daily spa operations, ensure facilities operate according to standards, shifts are arranged efficiently, and guest administration is accurate.
• Ensure the guest experience aligns with Jumeirah's luxury standards, overseeing safety measures, and maintaining guest confidentiality.
• Act as the primary contact for Dignitaries, VIP, and VVIP guests, coordinating their spa experience and ensuring exceptional hospitality.
• Handle guest interactions with professionalism, accommodating special requests, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Contribute strategies for enhancing spa, fitness, and membership offerings, develop professional and retail product programs, and actively promote membership sales.
• Implement and monitor up-selling strategies to maximize operational revenue from spa and wellness programs.
• Ensure compliance with legislation governing spa operations, maintaining high standards of service while adhering to regulations.
• Manage spa staff schedules, complete payroll records, conduct training, coaching, and mentoring sessions, and ensure colleague files are updated.

Scope of Position

Spa Therapist/Yoga Instructor is responsible for, but not limited to performing as trained all spa treatments to guests in a professional and pleasant manner. Spa Therapist/Yoga Instructor is to provide personal assistance to any individual & group booking private yoga/meditation/sound healing sessions.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs) as taught by Spa Treatments Manager.
• Keep work area clean, neat and hygienic at all times.
• Ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the Spa.
• Assist in the operations of all spa & wellness department as required:
• Spa Treatment Rooms
• Spa Reception
• Spa Retail
• Spa Pantry
• Consultation Lounge
• Spa Thermal & Changing Facilities
• Tea Lounges
• Maintain cleanliness and attention to detail in spa treatment rooms throughout your shift.
• Will be expected to assist and perform various demonstrations and events.
• Arrive 15 minutes before the start of your shift to allow sufficient time to prepare for your working day.
• Perform as a professional, with a friendly business attitude and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position, or assigned by the Spa Treatments Manager.
• Perform all treatments to the highest standards on guests whilst maintaining the guest’s comfort at all times.
• Be on time for appointments and thoroughly review appointments before and after completing each treatment.
• Have the ability to courteously interact and answer all spa and hotel related questions with guests.
• Attend daily and monthly meetings when necessary.
