Key Responsibilities:

  • Review design of
    CTs & VTs requirements
    as per approved SLDs, including sizing calculations.
  • Conduct detailed review of
    PMD (Protection & Metering Diagram)
    in line with OETC philosophy and standards.
  • Assess
    BLD (Block Logic Diagrams)
    and ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Review relay lists and verify alignment with OETC standards and related documents.
  • Collaborate with
    CRP builders
    and review scheme drawings for accuracy.
  • Validate
    relay setting calculations
    .
  • Represent the client during
    protection testing activities
    and witness performance.
  • Coordinate with OETC protection staff for approvals and testing.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BE) in Electrical Engineering
    (attested).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience
    in protection and commissioning.
  • Oman Council of Engineers Certificate
    required.
  • Strong understanding of OETC standards, with preference for candidates with prior approval experience.

Additional Requirements (for Protection Engineer):

  • Level III Protection Approval
    .
  • Proven capability in configuring advanced protection relays from at least
    two approved relay manufacturers
    .
