Job Title: Environmental (Assistant) Engineer
Major Responsibilities:
Policy & System Management:
Assist in the development and updating of the company's environmental management policies and inspection standards.
Maintain a thorough understanding of local environmental regulations, as well as internal company policies and inspection standards.
Monitor the on-site implementation effectiveness and any changes to these standards, providing suggestions for continuous improvement of policies and inspection checklists.
Area Inspection & Communication:
Oversee comprehensive safety and environmental compliance within the assigned area.
Conduct daily inspections in accordance with the department's audit plan for the assigned area.
Supervise and ensure that local departments formulate effective corrective and preventive actions, and promptly verify their closure.
Drive continuous improvement in compliance rates within local departments through meetings and communication.
Monitor the effective operation of environmental facilities to ensure pollutant emissions meet standards.
External Coordination:
Implement external requirements and ensure compliance tasks (such as periodic testing) are carried out in a timely manner within the assigned area.
Lead the preparation and reception for environmental inspections within the assigned area, and assist with external inspections in other areas as needed.
Management System Support:
Assist in the establishment and effective operation of the ISO 14001 system, and support the reception of external audits.
Participate in activities related to the ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 systems.
Minor Responsibilities:
Handle administrative tasks within the department.
Participate in the investigation of environmental and safety incidents within the assigned area, assist in root cause analysis, and contribute to the development and follow-up of corrective and preventive measures until closure.
Undertake other temporary tasks assigned by superiors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. (Work experience is not required for the Assistant Engineer position).
Proficient in using Microsoft Office software. Possess strong communication skills and a high capacity for learning.

Our client is looking for an experienced and technically strong Civil Engineer – Marine to support the design, construction, and maintenance of marine infrastructure projects such as ports, jetties, breakwaters, quay walls, and coastal protection systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee marine civil engineering projects from design through execution and commissioning.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, designs, and technical documents for marine and coastal structures.
- Supervise construction of jetties, quay walls, dolphins, breakwaters, piling, and dredging operations.
- Conduct site inspections, geotechnical and hydrographic data assessments, and provide engineering solutions based on findings.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and client representatives to ensure project compliance with technical specifications and HSE standards.
- Review and approve method statements, material submittals, and construction procedures.
- Monitor progress, quality, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

- Assist in tendering, cost estimation, and feasibility studies for upcoming marine projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 8 to12 years of experience in marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in design, construction, and maintenance of ports, harbours, jetties, and breakwaters.
- Strong knowledge of marine construction techniques including piling, dredging, concrete works, and coastal protection.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
- Solid understanding of HSE and QA/QC standards applicable to marine construction.
- Prior experience working in Oman or the GCC region is highly preferred.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Chartered Engineer (CEng / PE) or equivalent professional accreditation.
- HSE Certification (NEBOSH / IOSH).
- Project Management Certification (PMP / PRINCE2) is an advantage.
