Electric Vehicle Technician – Tesla Specialist
Reports To:

Job Summary:
The Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician – Tesla Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric and hybrid vehicles, with a primary focus on Tesla vehicles. The role includes conducting routine inspections, battery system servicing, electrical and mechanical repairs, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards. The Technician will also support customers with technical guidance and contribute to the adoption of sustainable transportation solutions in Oman.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting on EV systems, including high-voltage batteries, charging systems, power electronics, and drivetrains.
· Carry out routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, and software updates on Tesla and other EV brands.
· Inspect, test, and service Tesla-specific systems such as Autopilot hardware, charging connectors, and advanced onboard electronics.
· Install and configure EV-related components, including charging systems and auxiliary equipment.
· Maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation of all work performed.
· Support customer inquiries regarding EV performance, Tesla battery health, and charging solutions.
· Stay updated on emerging EV technologies, tools, and Tesla service procedures.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards, workshop procedures, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Diploma or Degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
· Certification in Electric Vehicle Technology (preferred).
· Proven experience as an automotive technician, with hands-on Tesla repair and service expertise.
· Strong knowledge of Tesla high-voltage systems, batteries, charging infrastructure, and vehicle software.
· Ability to use Tesla diagnostic tools and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and software logs.
· Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Physically fit and able to work in workshop conditions.
· Valid driving license (experience with EVs and Tesla vehicles is a strong advantage).
Skills & Competencies:
· Expertise in EV electrical and electronic diagnostics (Tesla experience required).
· Safety-conscious, especially when handling high-voltage systems.
· Strong teamwork and communication skills.
