• Full-time, 6 days/week
• Site-based role with standard working hours (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

This marine infrastructure project involves:

• Construction of a jetty designed to support the safe and efficient transfer of specialized cargo
• Shore protection works to safeguard the coastline and nearby infrastructure

• Assist in cost estimation , budgeting, and forecasting for civil and marine construction works
• Support in measurement and valuation of work done on-site

• Review and administration of contracts and contract changes, accurate preparation of monthly contract reviews and contractual claims.

• Compilation, management and negotiations of contractual claims both up and downstream and able to undertake claims avoidance measures.
• To promptly manage in consultation with the Commercial Manager and bring to satisfactory outcome any arbitration notices or legal action issued by or against the company.
• To ensure all contracts commercial operations are in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies.

AIG's Claims team in Oman is looking to expand. As a result, we now have a new opportunity for a Senior Auto Surveyor to work with us.

As a Senior Auto Surveyor, this role will be responsible for the examination of damaged vehicles, investigating the loss, and managing policyholders/insured drivers, TP claimants, workshops, and business partners. Additional key responsibilities will include:

1. Provide excellent customer service; ensure delivery of existing service level agreements and loss assessment of auto claims.
2. Deliver best-in-class assistance to insureds throughout the claims process while directing cases to satisfactory resolutions.
3. Supervise the existing motor claims surveyor to ensure service delivery of the Oman claims department.
4. Ensure that motor repair estimation is received from agencies and garages in accordance with the claims survey report and completed with the required information.
5. Finalize motor surveyor report and repair authorization within SLA timeline.
6. Deliver prompt and equitable claims settlements.
7. Post accurate timely reserves for each claim handled, ensure updated timely based on the development of the claim, and review the entire assigned portfolio on a regular basis to ensure overall reserve adequacy.
8. Vigorously pursue necessary claim documents.
9. Maintain close coordination with the agencies, garages, and brokers.
10. Responsible for reducing the average cost per claim by negotiating discounts with agencies and garages.
11. Report on market feedback (i.e., any potential problem with a particular type of vehicle model, garage, and agency) to the claims manager.
12. Provide market value of damaged salvage vehicles.

Degree qualified, the ideal candidate will be an experienced auto surveyor who has worked for a multinational organization. Preference will go to Arabic speakers who have gained experience within the region.
