AIG's Claims team in Oman is looking to expand. As a result, we now have a new opportunity for a Senior Auto Surveyor to work with us.
As a Senior Auto Surveyor, this role will be responsible for the examination of damaged vehicles, investigating the loss, and managing policyholders/insured drivers, TP claimants, workshops, and business partners. Additional key responsibilities will include:
- Provide excellent customer service; ensure delivery of existing service level agreements and loss assessment of auto claims.
- Deliver best-in-class assistance to insureds throughout the claims process while directing cases to satisfactory resolutions.
- Supervise the existing motor claims surveyor to ensure service delivery of the Oman claims department.
- Ensure that motor repair estimation is received from agencies and garages in accordance with the claims survey report and completed with the required information.
- Finalize motor surveyor report and repair authorization within SLA timeline.
- Deliver prompt and equitable claims settlements.
- Post accurate timely reserves for each claim handled, ensure updated timely based on the development of the claim, and review the entire assigned portfolio on a regular basis to ensure overall reserve adequacy.
- Vigorously pursue necessary claim documents.
- Maintain close coordination with the agencies, garages, and brokers.
- Responsible for reducing the average cost per claim by negotiating discounts with agencies and garages.
- Report on market feedback (i.e., any potential problem with a particular type of vehicle model, garage, and agency) to the claims manager.
- Provide market value of damaged salvage vehicles.
Degree qualified, the ideal candidate will be an experienced auto surveyor who has worked for a multinational organization. Preference will go to Arabic speakers who have gained experience within the region.
