Job Description & Summary
A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You'll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You'll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.

We're Hiring: Indirect Tax Officer

Responsibilities:

  • assist in preparation and filing of VAT returns and related compliance;
  • support senior team members in handling VAT audits, assessments, and refund claims;
  • prepare VAT computations, reconciliations, and review contracts and documents from an indirect tax perspective;
  • stay updated with VAT laws and regulations and support in indirect tax advisory;
  • coordinate with clients and assist in collation of data and documentation for compliance and assessments;
  • apply strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn;
  • good communication and drafting skills.

Requirements:

  • holds a professional qualification (CA or ACCA);
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting and indirect tax; and
  • efficient in handling spreadsheets, documentation, and analytical tasks.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors on tax-related matters.
  • Review procurement and customer contracts for tax compliance and optimization.
  • Participate in tax-related training and professional development activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of Country-by-Country Reporting and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify potential tax risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders on tax-related issues.
