Digital Role Designation: BSS Manager- Mobile
ROLE PURPOSE: The BSS Manager - Mobile will be responsible for overseeing all BSS-related functions supporting the mobile line of business. This includes the configuration, integration, and ongoing management of mobile products and services within the BSS platform, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. The role will serve as the primary liaison between the mobile business unit, Technology, and other operational teams, ensuring seamless delivery of mobile services from activation to customer care.
Responsibilities- Design, configure, and manage mobile product catalog entries, tariffs, and service bundles.
- Implement new mobile plans and offers in alignment with business requirements and market strategy.
- Oversee end-to-end voucher lifecycle management (generation, distribution, activation, and tracking).
- Ensure secure and efficient voucher processes across all channels.
- Configure commission structures for sales and distribution partners.
- Monitor and optimize commission schemes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee SIM provisioning, issuance, and activation processes.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all provisioning activities.
- Provide technical support to logistics operations for SIM and device distribution.
- Ensure integration between BSS, logistics systems, and inventory management platforms.
- Act as the escalation point for all mobile-related BSS incidents and issues.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve system-related problems.
- Work closely with IT and vendor teams to ensure smooth integration of BSS with other business systems (CRM, OSS, payment gateways, etc.).
- Identify and implement system improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure BSS processes comply with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
- Produce regular operational and performance reports for management.
- Liaise with commercial, customer care, finance, and IT teams to ensure aligned processes.
- Support and manage the front end applications related to mobile business.
- Support business initiatives that require BSS input or changes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 7-8 years in BSS operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role.
- Strong experience in mobile BSS configuration, provisioning, and operational support.
- Hands-on knowledge of telecom charging, billing, and CRM systems.
- Proficiency in BSS platforms (Whale Cloud is a plus).
- Strong understanding of prepaid, postpaid, and hybrid mobile product configurations.
- Familiarity with SIM management, provisioning flows, and E2E mobile service lifecycle.
- Familiar in troubleshooting and issue resolving.
English mandatory, Arabic mandatory (both verbal and written).
Professional Training, Certification or Membership- Experience and certifications related to the BSS platforms.
- Exposure to AI is an add-on.
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Understanding of telecom protocols and call flow tracing tools.

As the Product Manager Business Mobile, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of the Mobile Voice and Data product portfolio for business customers.
You will maintain and control specifications for these products, considering customer concerns, business processes, organization, costs, and vendor product limitations. You will manage cross-functional projects related to these products and services.
Your main tasks include analyzing market insights, conducting new market research, and performing competitive analysis to position and design a highly competitive product portfolio. You will develop, maintain, and control detailed specifications for products and services, ensuring that business rules, activation forms, welcome packs, price and product sheets, FAQs, etc., are up to date.
Responsibilities also include:
- Working with peers to develop bundles.
- Collaborating with technical teams to generate design documents and processes.
- Coordinating product implementation between network, IT, Customer Service, and suppliers to ensure timely, within-budget launches that meet specifications.
- Conducting sales and customer service training (train the trainer).
- Providing input for user guides and interfaces.
- Conducting UAT to ensure deployment of all user requirements.
- Managing the go-to-market process.
- Monitoring product performance regarding uptake, usage, and customer satisfaction, and taking actions to improve revenues and margins.
- Proactively managing the product lifecycle and contributing to future business plans.
- Keeping updated on competitor products and initiatives.
To qualify, you must have a university degree and at least 6 years of related experience in the telecom industry, including a minimum of 3 years in product development and management.
Key qualities include customer orientation, analytical skills, flexibility, teamwork, structured task management, attention to detail, good communication skills, fluency in English, and proficiency in MS Office. Arabic skills are a plus but not mandatory.
