Role : Regional Sales Director (MENA)


Reporting line : Chief Revenue Officer


Location : Dubai/Abu Dhabi (UAE), Doha (Qatar), Oman. Worksite: Remote.


What you will be doing

  • Lead the sales growth strategy across the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa).

  • Build and manage direct sales operations for our products in the region.

  • Develop partnerships with local companies, resellers, fintech and crypto platforms.

  • Build and scale a high-performing regional sales team.

  • Manage both outbound sales (cold outreach) and inbound lead conversion processes.

  • Represent the company at key industry events and conferences across the region.

  • Support clients and partners throughout all engagement stages (pre-sale, sale, and post-sale).

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and identify new growth opportunities.

  • Ensure accurate reporting on key sales metrics (deal volume, conversion rates, client retention) using Hubspot CRM.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to adapt strategies for the MENA market.


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of professional experience in B2B technology sales or crypto/fintech/SaaS solutions and mining pools within MENA.

  • Proven experience in outbound (cold outreach) and inbound sales channel management.

  • Strong experience in building sales funnels, managing client retention, and handling complex deals.

  • Strong familiarity and network in the local capital markets and investment ecosystem business community.

  • Background in Enterprise Fintech sales is a strong advantage.

  • Native Arabic speaker (mandatory); English language proficiency.

  • UAE citizenship preferred (or legal right to work in the UAE without sponsorship).

We are hiring a Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions in various locations to drive partnerships for licensing and embedding Ubuntu and Ubuntu Pro into software and SaaS solutions.

The role entails:

The Sales Director, ISV Embedded Solutions will collaborate with Product, Alliances, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing colleagues to prospect into ISV accounts, introduce our offerings, help partners or potential customers develop their products to best leverage our portfolio. The successful candidate will:

  • Drive embedded support and licensing sales with ISVs to exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets.
  • Lead customer and partner relationships and interactions through all stages of the sales, customer success and support lifecycle.
  • Deepen their understanding and engagement with the open source ecosystem.
  • Identify and develop partnerships that support Canonical's strategic ambitions.
  • Collaborate with product management to ensure fitness and enhancement of our platforms and solutions for ISVs.
  • Negotiate contracts with new and existing ISV partners and customers.
  • Shape our content and messaging for ISV partners and customers.

What we are looking for in you

  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.

They will own the strategy and the sell-to, sell-through and sell-with motions with the GSI and will coordinate customer workshops, sales events, public presentations and executive engagements.

  • Deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystem, and open source selling models
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms
