We're looking for a Fire Safety Engineer to design, review, and supervise fire alarm and firefighting systems, ensure authority approvals, and lead testing & commissioning across our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review fire alarm & firefighting systems in line with NFPA/BS/EN standards; prepare Cause & Effect Matrices.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler networks and specify fire pumps.
- Produce shop drawings, technical submittals, and as-built documentation; coordinate authority approvals to final sign-off.
- Supervise site installation, quality control, and safety practices.
- Plan and execute Testing & Commissioning (T&C) for alarm systems, sprinklers, hydrants, valves, and pump sets.
- Develop emergency response and evacuation plans; deliver training to client teams.
- Prepare periodic technical and progress reports; support bids (BOQ/specifications) and supplier evaluations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Fire Safety Engineering (or related field).
- 3–5+ years' experience with fire alarm, sprinklers, and fire pumps in Oman/GCC.
- Solid knowledge of NFPA (e.g., 13/20/72) and relevant BS/EN codes and local authority requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus) and hydraulic calculation tools.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Valid Oman driving license is an advantage.
