The Role
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a leading real estate developer in Oman. The role will be site-based and focused on overseeing the design aspects during the construction phase of mid-rise and high-end developments. The Design Manager will act as the key liaison between consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that design intent is maintained and executed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee all design activities during construction, ensuring alignment with project specifications, quality standards, and developer’s vision. - Coordinate between architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve design-related issues on site. - Review and approve design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements. - Provide technical guidance and design solutions to support construction progress. - Ensure adherence to local codes, regulations, and international best practices. - Monitor design changes, assess impact on project delivery, and provide recommendations. - Support in achieving timely project delivery while maintaining high design and quality standards.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably with real estate developers or large-scale projects. - Strong background in managing design during construction phases of mid-rise, high-rise, or high-end developments. - Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and design standards. - Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively on site and manage multiple stakeholders.

You will support and assist the CFO in managing all financial tasks, including accounting, treasury, compliance, financial reporting, tax, and developing internal control policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily transactions are captured and recorded accurately in the system; assist the team in these tasks.
  • Ensure timely monthly closure of books to deliver compliant financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Prepare financial summaries, reports, analyses, cost-benefit analyses, and ad-hoc reports as required by senior management.

The service further integrates with other engineering, business, payment systems. The Contracts team designs, develops, and operates a Golang service that will become the single source of truth for all contracts with all customers. The service provides a standardized CPQ capability and stores signed contracts in a structured format. The service further integrates with other engineering and business systems including a CRM system and an accounting system. This team is an excellent match for any software engineer interested in understanding sales and revenue processes and growing their skills beyond software engineering.

The Livepatch team designs and develops a service for the delivery of Linux kernel patches to shrink the exploit window for critical and high severity Linux kernel vulnerabilities, by patching the Linux kernel between security maintenance windows, while the system runs. The engineering team behind this product develops Golang based client and backend components, while another Canonical team, the Kernel team, develops the security patches. The Ubuntu Pro backend team designs and develops backend services for the delivery of Ubuntu Pro, the most comprehensive subscription for open-source software security. We are hiring a Lead Python Software Engineer who strives for the highest engineering quality, seeks improvements, continuously develops their skills, and applies them at work. This is an exciting opportunity to work with many popular software systems, integrations technologies, and exciting open source solutions.

The Commercial Systems unit is conceived as seven engineering teams that closely collaborate with other engineering and business teams at Canonical. Services designed, developed, and operated by the Commercial Systems unit are at the heart of Canonical business and Python plays an integral role in it. We are looking for Python Software Engineers for the Integrations team.

The Integrations team is responsible for the automation of SAAS user management and onboarding of new data sources to the data mesh. The team designs, develops, and operates a Python based solution to automate SAAS seat management and track spend across the application portfolio. Furthermore the team integrates internal and external data sources into the data mesh using open-source ETL solutions, enabling more data driven decisions in the organization.

Location : This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.

The role entails

  • Develop engineering solutions leveraging Python
  • Collaborate with colleagues on technical designs and code reviews
  • Deploy and operate services developed by the team
  • Depending on your seniority, coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback
  • Develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices
