Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in
  Mechanical Engineering
  or a
  Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, standards, and quality management systems.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 7 years
  of relevant experience in QA/QC within the construction and water infrastructure sector.

Proven expertise in
:

• Water pipeline projects
  (installation, testing, commissioning).
• Pumping stations
  (mechanical systems and equipment).
• STP Plants (Sewage Treatment Plants)
  – QA/QC supervision and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with inspection, testing, quality documentation, and liaising with consultants/clients.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards for mechanical works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections, review material approvals, and ensure quality of installation, testing, and commissioning works.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal project teams on quality-related matters.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection documentation, reports, and records.
• Ensure corrective and preventive measures are taken for any non-conformities.

Responsible for ensuring that all products, processes, and services meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Management System Implementation:Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
• Document Review and Approval:Reviewing and approving quality-related documents such as Project Quality Plans (PQPs), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Material Specifications, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Vendor and Contractor Oversight:Monitoring and auditing the quality of work performed by vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Inspection and Testing Oversight:Ensuring that all inspection and testing activities are conducted according to established procedures and standards, and that results are properly documented.
• Quality Audits:Conducting regular audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyzing quality data, preparing reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying trends and areas for corrective and preventive actions.
• Compliance with Standards:Ensuring that all operations and activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and project-specific requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree:A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably with a focus on quality management or a related field.
• Experience in Oil and Gas:ATLEAST 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of Industry Standards:Familiarity with relevant industry standards, such as ISO 9001, API standards, and other relevant codes and regulations.
• Technical Expertise:Strong understanding of welding, NDT methods, and other relevant technical disciplines.
• Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions to quality-related problems.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer located in Muscat.
