- Perform design drafting services for all types of drawings and documents
available in Company utilizing both manual and automated drafting request
system. - Prepare, Develop and Create all discipline drawings, documents and
database for Company Asset Information using latest design drafting
applications such as Smart Plant Enterprise, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS
application, MS Office etc. - Regularly update the existing site plan drawings with correct scaling and
detail matching and carry out minor modifications as and when required. - Prepare, update and maintain drawings into Smart Plant P&ID, Smart Plant
Instrumentation, Smart Plant Electrical, Smart 3D, AutoCAD and MicroStation
applications. - Preparation of drawings proposals as per red line mark-up received from
Business users. Prepare drawings for Project Technical Bid documents. - Check, correlate and record measurements; make freehand drawings or field
sketches to ensure dimensional and factual accuracy of prepared drawings
in line with international and company standard codes and practices. - Design and draft detailed working drawings based on approved preliminary
sketches of company and manufacturer's drawings including but not limited
to, foundations, elevations, profiles, section details, site plans, sewage and
plumbing features, equipment and piping layout. - Update, maintain, publish and Integrate Smart Plant and Non Smart Plant
documents and drawings into Smart Plant Foundation. - Perform site visit and verification to check and confirm the drawings and
document in As-built status. - Assign tag numbers to new Assets for all types of Projects with Operation and
Maintenance end-user approval. - Prepare and circulate drawing packages for comments and approval.
 - Incorporate the comments and prepare final drawings using automated or
manual workflow process (ECM/SAP). - Update and compile master drawings/document after receiving Project
Drawings drawings/documents. - Check & review projects drawings, documents and database as per
Company Asset Information standards, procedure and specifications. - Update the existing drawings through site coordination and verifications.
 
Qualification Requirements
1. Education level / Degree Bachelor's Degree in engineering or
Technology
2. Designing experience in oil & gas or
related process industry 
7 years
3. Supervisory experience Preferable
4. Familiarity with multi-discipline drafting
and modelling functions; Electrical,
Instrumentation, Piping, Mechanical, Civil,
Structural.

Excellent
- Plotting and Scanning of Drawing and Documents.
 - Assist Engineers in preparation of reports, schedules, engineering drawings,
construction drawings etc. - Coordinate with other section engineers & technicians for drawings and
documents updates and modifications. - Ensure Project / Engineering documents and drawings are in accordance with
company standards, and all drawings/documents related to projects /
modifications shall be properly stored and filed. - Maintain all records and reference manuals in drawing office for ready
reference. - Prepare indexes for the files including but not limited to ; drawings, technical
documents, construction purchase orders, vendor prints, Engineering
standards and other technical manuals, as well as drawing copies as
required. - Support in Smart plant Database Audits and Database transmittal review.
 - Support to resolve the Technical Query and Issue logs arising for all types of
Projects and coordinate with End-User or respective Engineers. - Regular coordination with maintenance, operations, technical services and
HSE at sites for drawings and document related work. - Prepare and provide inputs to progress reports for company management.
 - Provide critical documents and drawings during crisis management.
 - Comply with Asset Information standards, procedures, specifications,
guidelines etc. during performing the design and drafting services. - Comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards,
procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.

JOB PURPOSE
To improve the performance, reliability, and availability of critical assets by developing and implementing reliability strategies, analyzing equipment failures, and leading proactive improvement initiatives. The Reliability Engineer drives root cause analysis, risk assessments, and the optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance practices across the Aluminium Smelter, Port, and Power Plant, ensuring alignment with asset management objectives and long-term operational sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITES
3.1 Reliability Strategy Development & Maintenance Program Optimization
- Develop and update reliability-centered maintenance strategies using FMEA, RCM, PMO, CA and risk-based analysis
 - Evaluate asset performance and cost drivers to optimize PM intervals, scope, and execution methods
 - Identify opportunities to improve equipment availability and reduce lifecycle costs
 - articipate in the development of the PM budget and asset reliability plan in consultation with the Maintenance Superintendent.
 
3.2 Failure Analysis and Root Cause Investigation
- Lead structured root cause investigations (RCAs) for chronic and critical failures
 - Conduct daily failure reviews and update reliability logs with recommendations
 - Propose and track corrective actions, including equipment modifications or strategy changes
 
Support development of reliability knowledge tools and failure libraries.
3.3 Reliability Projects and Improvement Initiatives
- Identify, scope, and support reliability improvement projects, including capex justifications and cost-benefit analysis
 - Coordinate engineering inputs for reliability upgrades and asset improvement actions
 - Provide technical ownership during implementation, commissioning, and follow-up
 
3.4 Reliability Reporting and KPI Monitoring
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for reliability KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, OEE)
 - Analyze asset health indicators and failure trends to drive decision-making
 - Present findings and insights in weekly/monthly asset performance meetings
 
3.5 Support to Maintenance and Operations Teams
- Coach technicians and engineers in reliability concepts and best practices
 - Assist maintenance teams in troubleshooting chronic or complex failures
 
Promote reliability culture and preventive thinking across departments
3.6 Risk-Based Asset Management and Condition Monitoring Support
- Conduct equipment criticality assessments, LCC, and RBI reviews to prioritize asset strategies
 - Collaborate with CM analysts and PdM technicians to enhance condition monitoring practices
 
Use PdM data (vibration, oil, thermal) to identify early warnings and trigger proactive interventions
3.7 Team Leadership and People Development (For Senior Reliability Engineers with Direct Reports)
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of reliability professionals to deliver high-quality asset reliability services
 - Set performance objectives, manage work plans (WPPs), and evaluate team outcomes
 - Coach, train, and support underperforming staff while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
 
Ensure accurate timekeeping, adherence to company policies, and performance documentation (e.g., SAP records)
3.8 Action the SA Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures
to ensure safety and compliance 
- Continuously action the SA EHS procedures
 - Analyze and mitigate EHS risks inherent in maintenance plans, tasks and projects
 - Know and apply the SA housekeeping principles and procedures (5S) to maintain the work areas and storages in a safe, efficient condition.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor in Mechanical Reliability Engineering.
 - Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Power Plant , maintenance or reliability roles within asset-intensive industrial environments (e.g., aluminium, oil & gas, power, or heavy manufacturing)
 - Certification in Reliability Engineering or Asset Management is highly desirable (e.g., CMRP, CRL, IAM Certificate)
 - Training in RCM, FMEA, RCA, Risk-Based Maintenance, or Condition Monitoring methodologies is an advantage.
 - Special Certifications (CMRP, IAM, CAMA, CRE, etc) is a solid advantage.
