Role Synopsis
The Petroleum Engineering Trainee will support the Petroleum Engineering team in optimizing well performance, managing reservoirs, and improving production efficiency. The role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to core petroleum engineering activities, including well surveillance, production forecasting, reservoir management, and field development planning.
Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, the trainee will assist in data analysis, technical studies, and preparation of engineering reports, while gaining practical knowledge of industry tools, workflows, and safety practices. This position offers a structured learning path to build technical expertise and prepare the candidate for a successful career in petroleum engineering.
Key Accountabilities
Support well and reservoir surveillance activities, including data gathering, analysis, and performance monitoring.
Assist in production optimization studies and recommend improvement opportunities.
Contribute to reservoir management tasks such as decline analysis, material balance, and forecasting.
Participate in well testing, intervention planning, and follow-up on execution results.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to support decision-making.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (geoscience, operations, drilling) to ensure integrated solutions.
Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with company standards, HSE requirements, and best practices.
Actively engage in learning and development activities to build technical and professional skills.
Essential Education
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum GPA of 2.8
Open for 2023, 2024, 2025 graduates.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements

Strong organizational abilities, able to work to deadlines.
