Staff Nurse Roles and Duties

Primary Role:

To provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients under the supervision of physicians and senior nurses.

Clinical Responsibilities

1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care daily.
2. Monitor and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration).
3. Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
4. Assist doctors during medical procedures and rounds.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and nursing notes.
6. Prepare and manage equipment for patient care and procedures.
7. Observe and promptly report changes in patient conditions to doctors.

Patient Care & Safety

1. Ensure comfort, hygiene, and safety of patients.
2. Support emotional and psychological needs of patients and families.
3. Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
