Operations and Maintenance Engineer

Core Responsibilities:-

1. Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform routine and planned maintenance on machinery and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of equipment and components.

2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce repair costs.
• Utilize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns.

3. Operations Oversight:

• Monitor equipment performance to ensure it runs optimally with minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate daily logs, records, and reports of all maintenance activities.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance activities.

5. Resource Management:

• Manage and maintain an inventory of necessary spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of parts and specialized components.

6. Training & Supervision:

• Train and supervise junior maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient task execution.

About the Role

As a
Planning Engineer
, you'll be at the heart of NOMAC's maintenance operations — driving the planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance programs, outages, and major shutdown activities. You will play a key role in ensuring
plant reliability, asset performance, and maintenance efficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage
  maintenance schedules
  (daily, monthly, and outage-related) using SAP and MS Project.
• Coordinate major
  shutdowns and turnaround activities
  , ensuring milestones and quality standards are met.
• Monitor and report on
  maintenance execution
  , including progress tracking, backlog analysis, and cost variance reports.
• Verify and coordinate
  material requirements
  , spare parts, and technical specifications with operations and procurement.
• Provide
  technical support
  on plant modifications, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to ensure
  safe, efficient, and timely maintenance execution

• Lead
  SAP administration
  for planning processes, maintaining accurate and standardized data.
• Support

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in
  Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering
  .
• 7–10 years' experience
  in maintenance planning within
  power generation or water desalination plants
  , including at least
  2 years in a supervisory capacity
  .
• Strong knowledge of
  CMMS tools (SAP preferred)
  , project management, and predictive maintenance methods.
• Proven experience managing
  outages or shutdowns for critical electrical/mechanical equipment
  .
• Excellent
  planning, organization, and analytical skills
  , with a strong safety and quality mindset.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across
  multidisciplinary teams
  and mentor junior engineers.
