SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Network Engineer to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Essential Job Duties- Design, develop, and engineer comprehensive solutions to complex theater network challenges / problems.
- Review network engineering solutions from subordinates and ensure integration of best practices across theater network solutions.
- Drive standardization of theater network solutions for all supported organizations.
- Oversee network engineering tasks and responses to ensure integration of best practices.
- Manage and mentor subordinate personnel.
- An active Secret security clearance with an SSBI.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience.
- DOD Cyber Work Force (DCWF) 441 Certs: SecurityX / CASP+, CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
- Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
- Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
- Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700
- May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
- It is anticipated that contractor personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations based on USAREUR-AF and Mission Partner requirements.

Develops, designs, and implements robust, secure, scalable, and high-performance classified and unclassified network solutions that meet operational requirements and security policies
Develops and implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines and supports Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) processes IAW DoD and industry security and engineering best practices, standards, tools, and techniques
Provides IT communications services, including planning, designing, engineering, operating, maintaining, defending, and employing services
Maintains networks to ensure 24x7 availability of critical systems on NIPR, SIPR, TS/SCI, intelligence, and communication networks, and supports Command and Control (C2) infrastructure
