Lead-Backend Development (Mobile Banking):

• Prior
  Backbase backend development
  experience
• 7+ years
  microservice development
  using Java, Spring Boot and J2EE
• Dexterity in application servers (WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss/Tomcat) and web servers (Apache/Nginx)
• Hands-on containerization experience (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
• Proven performance tuning & optimization skills for high-traffic banking systems
• Extensive development of REST/SOAP APIs for financial transactions
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Argo CD)
• Proven experience in mobile banking/financial applications.
• Exposure with event-driven architecture (Kafka/MQ)
• Good academic background with extensive domain knowledge of support systems of a bank and project implementation, mainly Digital Channels Applications related.

• 10+ years of overall experience
  in the field of information technology with reputed organizations having knowledge and experience in the Digital Channels Applications Management. The candidate should also have thorough knowledge of the following:

• Proficient programming knowledge in Java, J2EE & Oracle.

• In-depth experience in system development, solution design, architecture and implementation.
• Planning, implementation and administration of Digital Channels Applications Systems through the use of controls, procedures, measurements and strategies.
• High-level knowledge of current technology in the industry.
• In depth knowledge in Documentation & Report/MIS Preparation.
• Good management capabilities with abilities to lead a team.
• Good communication, presentation skills with good command of written English.

Good Interpersonal relations with pleasing personality.

Define and execute the full stack development strategy aligned with business goals and technology roadmap.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Establish coding standards, version control policies, and code review procedures.

Drive innovation and modernization in application architecture, frameworks, and development practices.

Contribute to technology decisions and roadmap planning within the CoE.

Lead the design and development of web applications using , Angular, or on the frontend and , Python, C++ or Java on the backend.

Architect scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native solutions (AWS / OCI / Azure).

Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

Integrate APIs, third-party services, and databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL.

Ensure application performance, security, and scalability through optimization and monitoring.

Manage application deployments and environment configurations in coordination with DevOps teams.

Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevSecOps practices.

Oversee code reviews, merge processes, and maintain high code quality standards.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential adoption for internal projects.

Lead and mentor a team of full stack developers and testers, ensuring continuous technical growth.

Conduct performance reviews and create development plans for the team.

Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and Cloud teams to ensure smooth project delivery cycles.

Foster collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the development team.

Communicate project progress, risks, and technical challenges effectively to management and stakeholders.

Qualification

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Certification

Professional certifications in full stack development, cloud, or software architecture are preferred.

Experience /

Minimum 7 10 years of hands-on experience in full stack development, including 2 3 years in a team leadership role. Strong technical expertise in frontend frameworks , Angular, ) and backend technologies , Python, Java). Experience in microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments. Proficiency in database management (SQL/NoSQL), API development, and version control systems (Git, GitLab). Experience in Agile/Scrum project delivery and familiarity with DevSecOps best practices.
