Job Summary : Provide professional project management expertise to enable developments of project’s section to the highest industry standards.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Provide support to Head of Department to achieve departmental objectives & KPIs.
2. Lead projects’ team by providing guidance, create goals and monitor the performance to ensure success and perform associated appraisals in line with HR policies.
3. Review & confirm the tenders’ outcomes and projects’ specifications & timeframes.
4. Track & secure management’s goals & directions as to be transformed to specific annual objectives & KPIs to be achieved strictly.
5. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure business needs are met according to management’s expectations.
6. Establish & develop the projects’ section policies & procedures.
7. Evaluate, benchmark & develop the projects’ section, and maintain the necessary working resources & environment to ensure the highest standards.
8. Control projects’ costs & allocated budgets to ensure optimum utilization.
9. Contribute to future planning for expansions & developments and participate in budgeting exercise in line with management’s directions and master plan.
10. Maintain reporting as per management needs.
11. Perform additional assignments as requested by Management.

Education, Experience and Skills:

• B.Sc in Civil Engineering or MSc in Project Management.
• Minimum of 8 - 10 years' experience in a similar field with Government agency or multi-disciplinary international consultant / contractor.

The Planning Engineer will support the successful delivery of renewable energy projects (e.g., wind, solar, hybrid, and storage systems) by developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, resource plans, and progress tracking systems. This role ensures that project activities are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed projectschedules (Primavera P6 or MS Project) for all phases of renewable energy projects: development, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Prepare and manage project work breakdown structures(WBS), activity coding structures, and critical path analyses.
• Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate inputs into the master schedule.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis and identify schedule slippage, resource constraints, andrecovery plans.
• Support project cost control, including forecasting,earned value analysis, and variance analysis.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and performance KPIs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of RfP, tenderand contract schedules and review contractor schedulesfor accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in coordination meetings with team, contractors, consultants, and local authorities.
• Monitor compliance with projectmilestones, grid connection deadlines, and permitting timelines.
  
• Support claims and change order evaluations from a planning and delay analysis perspective.

Education G Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
• Minimum 3–5 years of planning experience in large infrastructure or renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hybrid, or storage).
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is essential.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, and utility stakeholders is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with renewable energy permitting, interconnection, and regulatory timelines.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of earned value management and project control principles.
• Understanding of construction methodologies and renewable energy technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Purpose of the Role: To lead, manage, and oversee the technical and planning functions for large-scale marine and heavy civil construction projects. The role ensures that all engineering and planning activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project goals, timelines, and regulatory standards. The manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, optimize resource allocation, and drive innovation in construction methodologies to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions in complex marine environments.

• Strategic project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring (Primavera P6 & MS Project)

• Manage all post-handover defects, including customer-reported exceptions, internal department exceptions, contractor defects during/after DLP, and latent defects.
