Installation Supervisor
to join our team in
Oman

What are my responsibilities?
- Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of Siemens signaling, SCADA, and asset protection systems on the UAE–Oman Railway Project.
- Ensure technical compliance by validating equipment positioning, performing signal sighting assessments, and reviewing project documentation.
- Conduct regular safety briefings, monitor safety incidents, and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Update and maintain safety procedures throughout project phases, ensuring adherence to regulations and internal standards.
- Oversee mechanical and containment installations including cable trays, brackets, enclosures, and other supporting infrastructure.
- Manage and close punch list items in close coordination with consultants, customers, and the QA/QC team.
- Coordinate schedules, resources, and contractor interfaces to deliver a safe, technically sound, and fully compliant railway system that supports long-term regional mobility goals.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in railway signaling installation, preferably with Siemens systems.
- You're preferably a Siemens certified Installer and hold relevant certifications in Railway Safety, Quality Management and Technical Safety.
- You bring proven experience in ETCS projects and IXL systems, including installation of outdoor components (signals, axle counters, transponders, point machines) and indoor equipment (IXL cabinets, OCC workstations, VCPs).
- You are proficient in a wide range of installation activities including cabling (laying, termination, meggering, ferruling, labeling of SIG cables) and containment systems.
- You're experienced with punch list resolution, redline/as-built documentation, and technical interface coordination.
- You are knowledgeable in a variety of APS detectors such as HWD, DED, RFD, WILD, WMS, WIM, ML-VMS, AVI, HABD, and RFID systems.
- You possess strong testing skills using Siemens tools and systems, including SICAS, Controlguide, and Trainguard.
- This role requires flexibility for site travel, fieldwork, shift-based schedules, and on-call availability as needed for project delivery.
- You hold a valid driving license for Oman, which is essential due to the nature of site-based mobility across project locations.
- You preferably have hands-on experience in Etihad Rail Stage 2.
- You're willing to be based full-time on-site in Sohar, Oman, with flexibility for project travel as needed.

Field Civil Construction Supervisor
- Monitor civil activities and ensure adequate Contractor resources are allocated.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the implementation of the Project QA/QC Plan.
- Implement the Company Quality Assurance Plans through the checking, witnessing, and recording of the quality activities as described within the Plans.
- Ensure that all construction activities are suitably documented.
- Monitor as-built drawing preparation by the contractors to ensure that these are accurate and produced on time.
- Report progress on the activities, versus the contractor's programs, and advise of any potential slippages.
- Review and comment on the contractors planning related to Civil activities.
- Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractors, and processing documentation as required.
- Carryout daily checks on contractor's staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with the project schedule.
- Handle all aspects of Civil Construction activities.
- Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensures that the project construction work is carried out as per the assigned schedule and resolves all the construction problems on the spot, so as to improve the productivity.
- Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to end user.
- Accountable for supervising contractor's work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems, and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing CCED safety standards on the work
- Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality related matters.
- Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters.
Education, Skills & Experience
Engineering, or Civil Engineering
- Training in Six Sigma Methodologies
- Minimum of 12 years of international experience in a broad range of job functions covering civil engineering and construction activities in support to the oil and gas industry.
- Experience of operations in various environments
including; Onshore / Remote / Harsh locations with challenging logistical issues. Experience of a wide range of civil engineering activities including the planning and executing of complex construction projects.
