Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and safety-conscious Gym Trainer to manage and lead fitness programs at our remote site facility in a desert area of Oman. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can thrive in a remote setting and is committed to delivering exceptional client results, instruction, and support.
Key Responsibilities
Client Assessment and Planning
Conduct initial fitness and health assessments to establish baselines, goals, and limitations for each client.
- Develop and implement personalized workout plans (strength, cardio, flexibility) tailored to individual needs and fitness levels.
Monitor, track, and analyze client progress, adjusting programs and setting new goals as necessary.
Exercise Instruction and Safety
Demonstrate and correct proper exercise techniques to ensure maximum effectiveness and, most importantly, client safety.
- Instruct clients on the safe and correct use of all gym equipment.
Conduct engaging one-on-one and group training sessions as scheduled.
Motivation and Support
Serve as a key motivator and accountability partner to help clients maintain consistency and achieve their long-term goals.
- Provide encouragement and constructive, professional feedback to enhance performance.
Address client concerns, plateaus, and challenges with a positive and supportive approach.
Health, Safety, and Environment
Maintain a consistently clean, safe, and organized gym environment.
- Inspect and ensure all equipment is in excellent working condition, reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
Be prepared to provide first aid and emergency assistance when required.
Educational Guidance and Administration
Educate clients on the fundamental importance of holistic health, including nutrition, hydration, and rest.
- Stay current on the latest fitness trends, techniques, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records (assessments, progress logs, feedback).
- Assist in promoting and executing gym programs, classes, and site-wide wellness events.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of direct experience as a Gym Trainer or Personal Trainer.
- Must currently be located in Oman.
- Must be ready and willing to live and work in a remote (desert) area environment.
- Relevant fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, etc.).
