The facility is equipped for welding, painting, and assembly of buses with an initial production capacity of 1,000 buses per year, which can expand to 3,000 buses annually. The company aims to be the leading supplier of city buses, school buses, coach buses, and work transport buses in the region. Karwa Motors focuses on producing buses with European standards while meeting local requirements. This project also aims to create high-value technical and administrative jobs for Omanis and catalyze the growth of the automotive sector.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager, located in Muscat. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bus assembly plant, ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining quality standards, and managing the production team. The role includes coordinating with various departments, implementing health and safety regulations, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. The Production Manager will also be involved in budget management, resource allocation, and reporting on production metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience in production management, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management
 - Strong leadership and team management skills
 - Proficient in quality control and process improvement methodologies
 - Knowledge of health and safety regulations
 - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
 - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field
 - Experience in the automotive or bus manufacturing industry is a plus
 - Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Role & responsibilities
- Lead the fabrication team by providing direction, guidance, & motivation to achieve production targets.
 - Manage & develop supervisors, team leaders, & operators to enhance skill levels & performance.
 - Plan & monitor daily & monthly fabrication schedules in line with overall production & dispatch plans.
 - Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, & materials within budgeted man-hours.
 - Identify potential shortfalls in workshop capacity & initiate corrective actions.
