Job Description: Tivoli Muscat Hotel is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chief Engineer to lead and manage all engineering operations during the pre-opening phase. The Chief Engineer will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth establishment of the hotel’s technical infrastructure, equipment, and systems, guaranteeing that all facilities are ready for operation on the opening day. The role will require hands-on management, strategic planning, and a proactive approach to facility maintenance and compliance.

• Oversee the setup, installation, and commissioning of all hotel systems and technical infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and building systems.
• Ensure that all engineering works are completed according to plan, within budget, and in compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Lead the coordination of contractors and vendors for all engineering-related projects, ensuring timely completion and high standards of work.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems, ensuring that the hotel will be operationally ready for opening day.

• Recruit, train, and develop the engineering team, ensuring that they are fully equipped to manage the hotel’s operations from day one.
• Foster a collaborative, efficient, and service-oriented team culture within the engineering department.
• Implement training programs for technical staff on hotel systems, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance to ensure operational readiness.

• Ensure that all engineering systems and equipment meet the highest standards of safety and performance before the hotel opens.
• Regularly inspect all systems to ensure they are in good working condition and ready for operational use.

• Maintain records of all engineering projects, operations, and maintenance for future reference and continuous improvement.

• Provide technical support and expertise during the hotel’s opening phase, ensuring any issues are quickly addressed and resolved.
• Ensure that all engineering systems are operating efficiently and that the hotel is fully functional upon opening.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior engineering role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a pre-opening environment.
• Proven experience in managing hotel engineering operations, including systems setup, maintenance, and safety compliance.
• Strong technical knowledge in hotel infrastructure and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of mechanical systems for Lidar and photonics-based products. This role involves creating enclosures, optical alignments, thermal solutions, and precision fixtures for prototypes, validation setups, and production systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including optics, electronics, and test to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

• Design mechanical components (housings, mounts, brackets, heat sinks) optimized for photonics and optical alignment.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for manufacturing using SolidWorks, Creo, or similar tools.
• Support rapid prototyping and hardware integration, including 3D printing and CNC fabrication.
• Perform tolerance analysis, thermal simulations, and mechanical stress analysis specific to optical systems.
• Work with suppliers to ensure DFM and high-precision assembly for optoelectronic modules.
• Collaborate with optics, electrical, and packaging teams to meet structural and thermal constraints.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design for optical, photonics, or high-precision electronic systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD); knowledge of thermal and structural simulation tools is a plus.
• Experience with Lidar systems, optical alignment, or photonic packaging is preferred.
