The Commercial Director is responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability. This role involves creating and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy to meet and exceed budget targets across all revenue streams including Rooms, Conference & Events, F&B and Leisure. The Commercial Director will work closely with the General Manager, Finance, and various regional and brand teams to ensure optimal performance and market positioning. The Commercial Director will lead the Revenue Management team, Marketing & PR team and Sales team.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Revenue Management: Develop and implement strategies to achieve budgeted revenues, control costs, and optimize pricing and sales opportunities across all revenue streams.
- Financial Performance: Collaborate with the GM and Finance team to maximize profits in line with GOP targets, prepare departmental budgets, and drive financial performance through effective planning and forecasting.
- Market Strategy: Stay abreast of market trends and adjust strategies accordingly. Ensure effective pricing and rate strategies to enhance market share and competitiveness.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, owners, hotel teams, GSOs, and other key contacts to drive commercial benefits and performance.
- Marketing and Sales: Support and coordinate with regional and hotel-level marketing teams to enhance visibility and performance. Participate in creating and executing sales plans, marketing campaigns, and special events.
- Team Leadership: Manage daily sales activities, ensure adequate staffing, provide coaching and feedback, and create a positive working environment to drive team performance and revenue goals.
- Travel: Represent the hotel at trade shows and market events, and travel as needed to promote the hotel and develop new business opportunities.
- Accountability: This role is a senior leadership position overseeing Revenue management, Sales and Marketing activities in a luxury hotel with a mixed hotel and residential component in a high-volume market.
What We need from you:
- Experience: Proven track record in a senior commercial or sales role within the luxury hotel sector, with experience managing a team and multiple revenue streams.
- Skills: Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and proficiency in revenue management and sales. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Education: Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred

Our client is an ultra-luxury resort, recognised globally as a leader in the hospitality industry. As the Finance Director, you will assist in preparing, in conjunction with the General Manager and other department heads, the annual budget, capital budgets and the rolling forecast.
The Finance Director will establish the annual budget preparation procedures and guidelines.
Requirements :
- Minimum of two years of proven experience in a similar position in a luxury resort or international hotel chain brands.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and draw impactful insights.
- Very good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- CA certification would be an advantage.
- Must have a very good knowledge of computerised accounting systems.
- Past working experience in a GCC country or remote location is highly desired.
- Cross-cultural work environment exposure.
- Establishes an efficient management of the hotel's accounting functions.
- Responsible for staff development within the Accounting Department.
- Achieves a high standard of performance.
- Responsible for the Annual Budget Plan and Capital Investment Budget.
- Approves together with General Manager any paid out but not limited to; Checks, Petty Cash, Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order and other related financial requests.
- Responsible in achieving the departmental target.
- Participate in strategic, financial and human resources planning
- Prepare detailed reports on financial and administrative matters
- Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial, legislation, policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the performance of, and provide training and development opportunities for, Finance and Administration staff.
- Manage the maintenance and upgrade of financial, payroll and information systems
- Provide leadership by delegating tasks, responding to staff inquiries and providing overall direction to section employees.
- Respond to auditors' comments concerning finances and operations and oversee required action to address deficiencies.
- Approve the Chart of Accounts and maintain commitment controls.

Reporting line: General Manager
Our client is an ultra-luxury resort, recognised globally as a leader in the hospitality industry. As the Finance Director, you will assist in preparing, in conjunction with the General Manager and other department heads, the annual budget, capital budgets and the rolling forecast.
The Finance Director will establish the annual budget preparation procedures and guidelines.
Requirements :
- Minimum of two years of proven experience in a similar position in a luxury resort or international hotel chain brands.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and draw impactful insights.
- Very good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- CA certification would be an advantage.
- Must have a very good knowledge of computerised accounting systems.
- Past working experience in a GCC country or remote location is highly desired.
- Cross-cultural work environment exposure.
- Establishes an efficient management of the hotel's accounting functions.
- Responsible for staff development within the Accounting Department.
- Achieves a high standard of performance.
- Responsible for the Annual Budget Plan and Capital Investment Budget.
- Approves together with General Manager any paid out but not limited to; Checks, Petty Cash, Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order and other related financial requests.
- Responsible in achieving the departmental target.
- Participate in strategic, financial and human resources planning
- Prepare detailed reports on financial and administrative matters
- Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial, legislation, policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the performance of, and provide training and development opportunities for, Finance and Administration staff.
- Manage the maintenance and upgrade of financial, payroll and information systems
- Provide leadership by delegating tasks, responding to staff inquiries and providing overall direction to section employees.
- Respond to auditors' comments concerning finances and operations and oversee required action to address deficiencies.
- Approve the Chart of Accounts and maintain commitment controls.
- Ensures the submission of all administration reports to the Corporate Office and Owning Company
