Key Deliverables

  • Support to Sales team in timely response to customer enquiry.
  • Understand the technical requirements of the customer in terms of cable and design the cable as per requirements. And, analyze the customer needs with respect OCI product range & provide the feedback.
  • Preparation of BOM (Bill of Materials) of various cable components & verify with specification’s fictitious calculation & manufacturing values.

  • Checking of CA families, CA item codes & manufacturing instructions prepared by design engineers for Costing & Manufacturing.
  • You will be responsible to review & update the raw material specifications.
  • Identify all aspects requiring clarification and participate in technical communications and meetings with customers to ensure the customers’ needs can be met and will be met.
  • Provide the technical data sheets, drawings, Clarification / Deviation list and other supporting documents as and whenever required by customers.
  • Support to ATL team, NPD, DTC & CSI activities.
  • Enquiry allocation within team members & monitor the status of enquiries.
Post Order
  • Ensure if final item codes, special instructions & other technical information are provided as per final approved documents.
  • Migration of Final CA item codes to SAP.
  • Technical Clearance of Sales Order in SAP for manufacturing.
  • Review & propose DTC opportunities for strategic Sales Orders.
  • Preparation of Technical data & manufacturing instructions for semi-finished cables to the procurement department.
Data Base
  • Review & issue Cable Datasheet, Cross-sectional Drawings & BOM in OCI standard format.
  • Maintaining commonly asked Clarification & Deviation list. And work of Deviation points to comply for future enquiry.
Qualifications Job Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering.
Skills/Knowledge
  • Knowledge of various IEC & BS cable’s standard.
  • Knowledge of fictitious calculations & manufacturing BOM calculations as per IEC & BS cable’s standard.
  • Knowledge of various GCC’s utility specification.
  • Knowledge of Cable design & BOM calculations.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes related to cable manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of CYMCAP software.
  • Good understanding of cable design & BOM optimization.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PPT etc), AutoCAD & Solid Works.
Experience
  • Degree: 6+ years of experience as a power cable design engineer.

Job Description

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a leading real estate developer in Oman. The role will be site-based and focused on overseeing the design aspects during the construction phase of mid-rise and high-end developments. The Design Manager will act as the key liaison between consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that design intent is maintained and executed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee all design activities during construction, ensuring alignment with project specifications, quality standards, and developer’s vision. - Coordinate between architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve design-related issues on site. - Review and approve design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements. - Provide technical guidance and design solutions to support construction progress. - Ensure adherence to local codes, regulations, and international best practices. - Monitor design changes, assess impact on project delivery, and provide recommendations. - Support in achieving timely project delivery while maintaining high design and quality standards.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably with real estate developers or large-scale projects. - Strong background in managing design during construction phases of mid-rise, high-rise, or high-end developments. - Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and design standards. - Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively on site and manage multiple stakeholders.

Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and innovative chief Design Engineer with a strong background in Electromechanical system design and the integration of hardware with electrical and electronic systems. The ideal candidate will lead and contribute to the design, development, prototyping, and refinement of new products, taking concepts from initial ideas through to production readiness.


This role requires proficiency in CAD and CAM tools, mechanical and electrical integration, and a solid understanding of product development workflows, materials, manufacturing processes, and cross-functional collaboration.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support design and development of new products, focusing on functional, manufacturability, and cost-effective solutions.

  • Team leadership, including active supervision, coaching and development of junior designers and fresh graduates.

  • Integrate hardware systems with electrical and electronic components (PCBs, sensors, actuators, wiring, etc.).

  • Demonstrated expertise in the design and implementation of complex mechanical mechanisms involving kinematic chains, motion control systems, and precision components across various product development projects.

  • Design Electromechanical systems including enclosures, moving parts, brackets, mounts, and thermal/structural features.

  • Create and manage 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and exploded views using software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360.

  • Utilize CAM tools for prototype development and manufacturing file preparation (CNC, laser cutting, 3D printing, etc.).

  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure complete system functionality and seamless integration.

  • Support prototyping, testing, validation, and iterative design improvements based on test results and stakeholder feedback.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, BOMs, and engineering change orders.

  • Work with suppliers, fabricators, and vendors to source components and materials.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, certifications, and safety regulations.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.

  • 20+ years of experience in product design and electromechanical system integration.

  • Strong track record in problem-solving and design of complex mechanism systems.

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, CATIA).

  • Experience with CAM tools and file preparation for 5-axis CNC machining, 3D printing, or other digital manufacturing methods.

  • Solid understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, and mechanical design principles.

  • Experience in integrating mechanical designs with electrical components, PCBs, and wiring harnesses.

  • Hands-on prototyping and testing skills.

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
