Key Responsibilities:
- Design and document Outside Plant (OSP) fiber networks for FTTH, FTTX, and Backhaul deployment.
- Develop construction drawings, splice schematics, and route maps using AutoCAD.
- Interpret engineering field notes and survey data to create detailed and accurate network layouts.
- Utilize Google Earth to create and manage KMZ/KML files for planning and visualization of fiber routes.
- Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and GIS teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Maintain and update GIS records of fiber routes and infrastructure.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and local regulations.
- Assist with permitting and right-of-way documentation as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in OSP fiber design, particularly FTTH/FTTX and Backhaul.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with Google Earth KMZ/KML file creation and management.
- Basic to advanced knowledge of GIS systems and tools.
- Understanding of GCOM software/platform is a plus.

Job Description – Senior Structural Designer
Position Overview :
The Senior Structural Designer will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating all structural design drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications, design intent, and international codes. The role also involves managing and guiding a team responsible for preparing BBS (Bar Bending Schedule) drawings and ensuring accurate, coordinated, and constructible documentation for all structural elements.
Key Responsibilities :
Structural Design & Detailing -
Prepare detailed structural design drawings (RC and steel structures) based on engineering calculations and design sketches.
- Develop general arrangement drawings, sections, and details for foundations, columns, slabs, beams, retaining walls, and other structural components.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as BS, ACI, and Eurocodes.
Review and integrate architectural and MEP inputs to maintain coordination and constructability.
BBS (Bar Bending Schedule) Management
Supervise and coordinate the preparation of BBS drawings and schedules.
- Check and validate bar lists for accuracy against structural drawings and site conditions.
- Implement standardized BBS templates and quality control measures.
Liaise with site and design teams to address reinforcement detailing queries and resolve discrepancies.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead a team of structural draftsmen and BBS detailers, ensuring workload balance and adherence to deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and design input to junior team members.
- Coordinate closely with the Structural Engineer/Design Engineer for all design revisions and clarifications.
Interface with multidisciplinary teams (Architectural, MEP, ID) to ensure smooth coordination.
Quality Control & Documentation
Review and approve drawings before submission to the consultant/client.
- Ensure drawings are updated and consistent with the latest design revisions and site changes.
Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and documentation in line with project QA/QC systems.
Site Support
Provide technical support during construction, especially for rebar detailing, BBS clarifications, and design modifications.
- Review as-built drawings and assist in resolving site queries related to structural detailing. Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 10–15 years of experience in structural design and detailing, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead designer role.
Proven experience in reinforced concrete and steel structure detailing for residential, commercial, or mixed-use buildings.
Strong background in BBS preparation and review.
Experience with consultancy firms or design offices in Oman or GCC preferred. Technical Skills
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and CADS RC / RebarCAD or equivalent rebar detailing software.
Familiar with ETABS, SAFE, and STAAD.Pro for structural model referencing (advantageous).
Strong understanding of ACI, and BS standards.
Excellent command of MS Excel for BBS and QA templates.
Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows is an advantage.

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the detailed design, engineering, and execution of high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) substation projects up to 400kV. The role involves developing both primary and secondary engineering designs, ensuring technical compliance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver projects successfully from the concept stage through to energization.
Key Responsibilities
Primary design
- Layouts: Produce single-line diagrams (SLDs), Overall layouts for Air-Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) for 132kV, 220kV and 400kV Substations, electrical plans and sections, and lightning protection layouts.
- Calculations: Perform necessary electrical calculations, including:
- Earthing (grounding) grid design and analysis
- Lighting design for switchyards and buildings
- Busbar sizing (rigid and flexible) for short-circuit and ampacity requirements
- Equipment sizing for transformers, circuit breakers, surge arresters, and other high-voltage components
- DC system calculations, including battery and battery charger sizing
- Cable sizing and cable tray/trench layouts
Secondary design and protection
- Protection and control: Formulate protection and control schemes and prepare the associated logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

- Provide technical support during construction and manage design change control processes.
- To follow up on various project-related tasks as directed by team leader
- Oversee any OSP design disputes with related third parties due to, e.g., right-of-way issues. Provide advice to the project team and prepare the contractors' work packages.
- Develop and maintain OSP design standards, templates, and best-practice documentation.
- Support fiber testing and verification activities, including splicing plans, OTDR routes, and as-built validation.
- Track design performance KPIs such as design quality index, GIS accuracy, and BOQ variance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of telecommunication experience in OSP design and engineering positions.
