Overview

Purpose of the Role: To lead, manage, and oversee the technical and planning functions for large-scale marine and heavy civil construction projects. The role ensures that all engineering and planning activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project goals, timelines, and regulatory standards. The manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, optimize resource allocation, and drive innovation in construction methodologies to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions in complex marine environments.

Areas of Expertise
  • Strategic project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring (Primavera P6 & MS Project)
  • Technical design review, method statement evaluation, and engineering coordination
  • Resource planning, allocation, and productivity optimization
  • Critical path analysis, risk management, and schedule recovery planning
  • Integration of technical, commercial, and construction activities
  • Coordination of multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, and construction
Preferred Experience
  • 20+ years of experience in technical and planning management for marine, offshore, or heavy civil construction projects
  • Proven track record in large-scale EPC, design-build, or turnkey projects

DarGlobal is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Construction Manager - Early Career individual to support the successful delivery of mid-rise buildings and luxury villas within prestigious master-planned communities. Working under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager, the ideal candidate will take ownership of on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and progress align with project objectives.

This role is ideal for a hands-on early career professional with 5 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn, grow, and make a measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
  • Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site staff to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project milestones.
  • Assist in the development and tracking of project schedules, reporting any variances or delays to senior management.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and resolve any technical or execution-related issues.
  • Support project planning and execution, including material procurement, resource allocation, and daily coordination with consultants and contractors.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify potential construction challenges and propose practical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Prepare and submit site progress reports, logs, and documentation to project leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in mid-rise residential or luxury villa developments.
  • Experience with reputable Tier 1 main contractors.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Construction Manager vacancy in Salalah Oman

Construction Project Manager


As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects in Salalah, ensuring their successful completion within budget and on time. You will be working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of the project and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets and ensure they are followed throughout the project
- Coordinate with architects and engineers to review designs and plans for feasibility and cost-effectiveness
- Select qualified contractors and subcontractors for various construction tasks
- Monitor construction progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and address any issues that may arise
- Maintain communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality, address any concerns or delays, and make necessary changes to plans if needed
- Manage project finances by tracking expenses, approving invoices, and making budget adjustments when necessary

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in construction management
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to problem-solve effectively

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $1600 per month. We offer accommodation for employees who require it.
