ResponsibilitiesExecute activities and processes associated with Offshore Engineering in the SFR Project. Apply and expand hands-on experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, commissioning, and Operation of SBM and Pipeline Systems in the oil & gas industry. Support and execute general engineering activities directly linked to Offshore Structural and Marine Engineering and manage EPC Contractor Deliverables.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities- Marine and offshore structural activities related to SBM and Pipeline system detailed design, installation engineering, construction, and commissioning.
- Conduct offshore survey, navigational studies, mooring analysis, seismic analysis, etc.
- Manage SBM and related vendor deliverables.
- Oversee mooring anchors, chains, mooring hawsers, PLEM, and SBM locations.
- Handle installation and engineering, including analysis and procedures for offshore structural and geotechnical scope.
- Apply offshore engineering standards and design codes such as DNV, OCIMS, AWS, API, ABS, etc.
- Review offshore engineering deliverables (SBM, PLEM, and related pipelines).
- Challenge project design assumptions and add value to the project.
- Compile and evaluate information from FEED contractor reports using offshore standards and codes.
- Participate in engineering reviews and meetings, providing leadership when required.
- Provide innovative solutions to project challenges, balancing cost, schedule, and compliance.
- Assist in solving offshore engineering challenges during EPC development.
- Review engineering deliverables to monitor HSSE, progress, and conformance to standards.
- Coordinate and oversee offshore engineering design, execution, and progress.
- Follow up on the turnover of offshore engineering documents.
- Ensure technical accuracy, quality, and economy of offshore engineering applications and designs.
- Verify site equipment locations, pipe routing, tie-ins, and constructability.
- Manage offshore consultants.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
QualificationsBSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 15 years of experience in refinery and petrochemical industries.
Extensive experience in offshore structural activities.
Experience in the Middle East is mandatory.
