Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Machine Operator located in Sur. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery related to the production of insulated blocks. Daily tasks include monitoring machine performance, conducting quality control checks, handling hand tools, and ensuring efficient production processes. Effective communication with team members and supervisors is also a key aspect of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in Machine Operation and handling related Machinery
• Ability to perform Quality Control checks and use Hand Tools
• Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors
• Basic understanding of mechanical and technical principles
• Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent

I. QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

· Attainment of a high school diploma or its equivalent educational qualification

· Proven experience as an Embroidery Machine Operator or similar role.

· Must have at least two (2) of experience as an Embroidery Machine Operator or Embroidery Designer

· Successful completion of a course in embroidery design or a related field is a plus

·Proficiency in operating embroidery sewing machines and related equipment.

· Strong understanding of embroidery design concepts, color schemes, and materials.

· Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and quality control.

· Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members, Managers, and Designers.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and additional responsibilities.

II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review required EMB designs, images, samples, or media thoroughly to assess feasibility and prepare necessary raw materials.
• Collaborate with the Manager and Designer to discuss EMB design requirements and related tasks.
• Create counter samples and meticulously verify accuracy and quality against the original design.
• Calculate total stitches, colors, production costs, lead times, and targets in consultation with the Manager and Designer.
• Set production targets based on stitch count, number of colors, appliqué, panel attachments, piping, cording, and other relevant factors.
• Operate embroidery sewing machines proficiently to produce abaya embroidery designs and logos.
• Achieve hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly production targets as established.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in adherence to workplace standards.
• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of machinery and equipment during operations.
• Safeguard software, designs, and documents, ensuring their confidentiality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and daily upkeep of embroidery machines to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor and manage an adequate supply of threads and other raw materials as advised by the Manager.
• Manage the maintenance and availability of machine spare parts.
• Fulfill any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the Manager.

Role & responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor cladding machines according to production specifications.
• Adjust machine settings (speed, pressure, temperature) for optimal bonding.
• Feed raw materials into machines and monitor material flow.

• Identify and report defects or deviations from specifications.
• Perform regular machine checks and preventive maintenance.

• Operate tubular type of stranding machines.
• Set up machine parameters according to production specifications and wire types.
• Load wire spools onto machines and ensure proper threading and tension.
• Monitor the stranding process to ensure wire diameter, lay length, and other specifications are within tolerance.
• Perform regular checks to maintain product quality.
• Identify and resolve minor machine issues or report major faults to maintenance.
• Record production data (length, weight, batch number, etc.) accurately.

Role & responsibilities

• Set up and operate bi-metal drawing machines (Steel + Aluminum).
• Adjust machine settings such as tension, speed, and temperature as required.
• Feed metal rods or wires into machines for drawing and shaping.
• Handle bi-metallic raw materials (steel core with aluminium cladding or vice versa).
• Ensure proper alignment and bonding of the two metals during processing.
• Monitor machine operations to detect any issues in bonding, diameter, or tension.
