What You'll Do. At Viasat Energy Services in Oman you will be overseeing country wide field operations servicing predominantly Oil and Gas customers on land and offshore, manage dynamic team of field technicians, vehicles fleet, and overall day to day operations to meet the requirement of internal teams and commitments to the customers.
The day-to-day- Directly overseeing and guiding field operations team, ensuring properly trained and equipped for their given tasks
- Planning and assigning tasks, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed on time
- Facilitating communication and collaboration between field teams, other departments, and management
- Resolving conflicts and addressing any issues or problems that arise in the field and the team
- Monitoring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Provide on-site safety training and guidance to field ops team Ensure proper use, care and maintenance of company asset/equipment and company vehicles
- Reporting any vehicle, safety incidents, or hazards promptly creating report and immediately reporting back to Ops
- Area Manager and HSE, P&C
- Participating in the planning and execution of field area operations and projects assigned to Operations
- Managing resources and make sure Ops having adequate spare of equipment, consumable items and materials in the region
- Create and submit equipment/material cost for the Ops sparing requirements for purchasing and AFE creation as needed
- Work closely with OPS WIL and Global Purchasing team and Finance as required
- Monitoring project progress, quality, and performance against established goals
- Preparing and submitting regular reports on field activities and project status
- Ensuring work meets quality standards and SLA
- Identifying and resolving problems that arise during field operations
- Providing training and development opportunities for field ops staff
- Managing project budgets and controlling costs (cost saving initiative)
- Interacting with clients or stakeholders as required or needed
- Ensure accuracy of equipment inventory and safeguarding assets.
- Review and approve field ops timesheet and overtime computation to International payroll/HR for payment process before the next payroll cycle
- As supporting role you will be collaborating with local regulators (Oman TRA, Chamber of Commerce, local banking, ROP, vendors, customs authority etc as required for successful operations)
- Strong managerial skills, 5 years of experience with managing the team of at least 5 direct reports
- Omani national required
- Experience in Field Operations and Project Management
- Experience in Telecommunications Field, preferably with VSAT and networking equipment
- Experience in Oil and Gas field operations with local operators
- Strong managerial skills, experience in managing the team
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Dealing with high pressure situations
- Responsiveness, accountability and willing to go an extra mile
- Understanding of the customer and company objectives and commitments

What You'll Do

The day-to-day
