Position is based in Oman for a long-term assignment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for:


  • Working across three areas: Polymer, Utilities & Offsites, and RFCC & HCU.

Polymer

  • Experience in Polymer Plants (Polypropylene and Polyethylene) operations, Process Optimization, Feasibility Studies, FEED, Design, Commissioning, and Performance Testing. Experience with Unipol Technology is essential. Additional experience in Speripol and Novolen technologies is a plus.

Utilities and Offsites

  • Process Engineering experience in Utilities of a Refinery and/or Petrochemical plants. Rich experience in:
  • Desalination systems (Multiple Effect Distillation & Reverse Osmosis)
  • Demineralization systems (Ion exchange resin and Electro De-Ionization)
  • Boiler Feed Water systems, Auxiliary Boilers, and Waste Heat Boilers
  • Steam Network Systems
  • Cooling Towers and Closed Loop Secondary Cooling Water systems
  • Power Generation systems

Experience in Waste Water Treatment units is an advantage. The candidate should be well-versed in Troubleshooting, Process Optimization, Feasibility Studies, FEED, Design, Commissioning, and Performance Testing.


RFCC and HCU

  • Operational experience in RFCC and HCU. Experience in Process Optimization, Feasibility Studies, FEED, Design, Commissioning, and Performance Testing is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region
  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing team of Engineers and designers
  • Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
