JOB PURPOSE: ( For Omani Only)
To lead, develop, and implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategies, policies, and programs that ensure compliance with legal requirements and promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. The HSE Manager is responsible for minimizing risk, preventing incidents, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Ensure that identified hazards are reported and addressed through corrective actions.
- Able to make a Risk Assessment form as per regular safety inspections.
- Ensure the organization complies with health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
- Keep up to date with health and safety legislation and industry’s best practices.
- Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct safety training for employees on proper use of equipment, emergency protocols, first aid, and other relevant health and safety topics.
- Organize drills, such as fire drills, to ensure readiness in emergencies
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety-related incidents to determine causes and propose corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents and accidents.
- Prepare Weekly and Monthly HSE Report on health and safety performance, including accident rates, safety inspections, and training records.
- Maintain records of all safety-related documentation for compliance purposes.
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures (e.g., fire, chemical spills, medical emergencies).
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and trained in emergency procedures.
- Monitor the use of safety equipment and ensure that appropriate PPE is available to employees.
- Regularly inspect safety equipment for maintenance and replace damaged items
- Work closely with managers, supervisors, and employees to foster a safety culture.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and regulatory bodies or external safety organizations.
- Recommend improvements to workplace safety practices and culture.
- Stay informed about new safety technologies and practices that can enhance workplace safety.
- Oversee the Overall Health, Safety and Environment Implementation in this mentioned location.
- Monitor, Supervise and Reporting to the Operations Department Line Manager for day-to-day HSE toolbox talk and HSE matters.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, environmental, occupational health, or a related field/equivalent.
- HSE specific certification IOASH/NEBOSH…etc
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a similar industry (Facilities management/Construction)
- Experience in high-rise building construction projects is essential
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations related to working at heights and large-scale construction sites

Job Purpose: Al Hashar Stables is seeking an experienced Equine Veterinarian to join our team in Barka, Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive equine veterinary care across various disciplines including sports medicine, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, breeding, and practice management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation:
Conduct lameness examinations and administer conventional and regenerative therapies.
Develop customized rehabilitation plans including controlled exercise and therapeutic modalities.
Perform objective hoof assessments and provide routine foot care. - Equine Internal Medicine:
Evaluate and manage medical-grade colic, respiratory, and metabolic disorders.
Conduct ophthalmological exams and perform diagnostic tests.
Manage pregnant mares and provide foal care. - Equine Surgery:
Perform various surgical procedures including wound management and castration.
Administer local and general anesthesia.
Diagnose and manage laminitis, foot abscesses, and other podiatric conditions. - Equine Diagnostic Imaging:
Utilize ultrasound for reproductive and musculoskeletal examinations.
Conduct routine radiography and endoscopic procedures.
Interpret diagnostic images and guide medical interventions. - Equine Breeding:
Perform breeding soundness exams for mares and stallions.
Conduct artificial insemination and manage frozen semen.
Monitor follicular dynamics and diagnose pregnancies.
Job Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in equine veterinary practice.
- Valid veterinary practice license from the country of origin.
- Valid criminal record.
