Main Tasks And Responsibilities
This Job description outlines the objectives and activities of a required engineer based in OQGN
office for a period of 5 months to support the Reliability Team in implementing Reliability
Centered Maintenance (RCM) study and Maintenance Digitalization within the Asset
Performance Management (APM) system. The focus is on digital transformation, integration,
testing, feedback incorporation, full deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Candidate shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Detailed Job Description As Below.
- RCM Study Scope:
- Migrate existing RCM studies from Excel to APM for all GN stations as per the annual plan.
- Link all failure modes to their respective assets to ensure comprehensive reliability management.
- MCP Integration with APM:
- Integrate Maintenance Craft Procedures (MCP) into APM.
- Develop task-specific indicators to streamline maintenance activities.
- Align procedures with asset hierarchies, tagging systems, and scheduling tools within APM.
- Pilot Testing:
- Conduct pilot testing of Maintenance Digitalization with a selected group of technicians.
- Identify operational challenges and areas for improvement before full-scale implementation.
- Utilize handheld devices for data entry and validation during pilot testing.
- Feedback and Iteration:
- Gather feedback from technicians and stakeholders involved in the pilot phase.
- Refine procedures based on feedback to enhance usability and efficiency.
- Implement necessary changes in APM configuration to optimize MCP performance.
- Full Implementation:
- Roll out finalized MCP procedures across all relevant maintenance teams.
- Communicate implementation schedule and provide necessary training and support.
- Ensure comprehensive adoption of MCP procedures throughout the organization.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor MCP effectiveness.
- Regularly evaluate performance against set metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Adjust procedures as needed based on monitoring outcomes and performance data.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of MCP implementation progress in APM.
- Document stations where MCP has been successfully implemented.
- Generate reports on compliance, performance enhancements, and any adjustments made over time.
Candidate shall have below Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies and Maintenance craft procedure.
- Experience with APM Bentely software, SAP PM, Solution package, Maintenance plan,
- Strong skills in data analysis and performance optimization.

Job Purpose:The job holder will oversee and manage all aspects of mechanical, static, lifting, and rotating equipment activities to ensure optimal plant performance, safety, and reliability. They shall technically lead the mechanical disciplines, ensuring maintenance activities are accurate, safe, and efficient during production. They will ensure resources such as trained personnel, procedures, tools, and equipment are in place to minimize operational risks during start-up.
Job Responsibilities: Project phase:- Responsible for all MIE (Maintenance and Inspection Engineering) deliverables within their expertise.
- Develop and maintain relationships with site personnel, technical teams, contractors, and engineering teams.
- Prepare and validate maintenance programs for rotating and static equipment.
- Ensure complex site maintenance procedures incorporate best practices.
- Develop technical Scopes of Work and participate in tenders for maintenance contracts (e.g., air compressors, pumps, gas compressors, exchangers, lifting equipment, EDG, loading arms).
- Participate in developing digital tools for maintenance management, especially for Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM).
- Provide technical and administrative support to the site and control tower.
- Manage and monitor mechanical maintenance activities, planning short, medium, and long-term maintenance.
- Manage CMIMS system and spare parts stock to ensure availability for maintenance activities.
- Oversee specific maintenance contracts.
- Manage actions related to Synergi / Downgraded Situation (DGS) for Mechanical Discipline.
- Develop long-term investment plans for obsolete equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, methods, and procedures for mechanical discipline.
- Engineering Degree or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in operational maintenance within LNG or Oil & Gas industries.
- 10+ years in mechanical maintenance, with at least 3 years in supervisory roles; experience in projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Technical competencies include maintenance of LNG and onshore O&G facilities, inspection engineering, SAP (MM & PM), commissioning, start-up, static equipment, and management experience.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer at STI engineering (Design & Consulting) located in Sohar. The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for managing projects, developing mechanical engineering design solutions, using computer-aided design (CAD) software, and coordinating various aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects with other team members, clients, and stakeholders.
