Job Description- Organize all QC inspections on and off site.
- Implement the project quality plan and specifications.
- Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or material requirements, and review blueprints or other documents to define operational methods or sequences.
- Follow up on site inspections, QC records, and non-conformities.
- Analyze test results.
- Evaluate the quality of materials or products.
- Monitor identification and traceability activities and records.
- Follow up on corrective actions in case of non-conformity, while coordinating with the Technical Manager, Construction Manager, General Site Superintendent, QC Manager, and Lab Technician.
- Certificate or Diploma in the appropriate Engineering discipline
- 5 years of experience in Quality Control and Materials Testing, preferably with regional experience in marine works
- Good English communication skills
- Proactive and flexible
- Strong Quality Control analysis skills
- Good listening skills
- Effective time management
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Well-versed with reasonable writing skills

Job Description
- Review all the projects' specifications and shop drawings related to scope of work.
- Random inspection of the executed works against the project specifications, approved shop drawing, method of statement, ITPs and Quality control standard procedures.
- Ensure all the delivered materials match with approved material submittals as well as the project specifications.
- Ensure the implementation of correction and corrective actions related to no conformances and close out internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) or those issued by the Engineer/Consultant.
- Participate in the preparation of the project ITPs, according to the project Quality Plan.
- Coordinate with the client's inspection team for final & approved inspections.
- Coordinate with the Site/Section Engineers to arrange daily inspection program.
- Prepare daily Inspection Report and submit it to Senior Quality Engineer.
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with the approved shop drawings, method statement and project specification.
- Initiate the NCR alerts and/or NCR for any discrepancies or nonconformance activities for following up and submit it to the Senior Quality Engineer.
- Ensure awareness of "On HOLD" points as stated in the inspection and testing plan.

This role is for a Senior Quality Assurance manager to work on a large PMO commission in Oman. The opportunity is to lead the Quality Assurance and train and develop the clients teams.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Demonstrable portfolio management experience in a consultancy or client capacity.
- Lead Assurances team, comprising the programme and Mace employees.
- Ability to build the Assurances team responsible for delivering the following functions: health and safety, environmental/sustainability management, quality management, worker welfare.
- Oversight of performance and continuous improvement to standard processes.
- Ability to step in and train the wider team in any of the above processes and procedures as required.
- This will be a client facing role and will be expected to present internally to the SLT, the project teams and their supply chains.
- Delivers delegated elements of an annual business plan to time and budget.
- Manages and facilitates external certification audits.

- You have at least 3 years of professional experience with Ruby, hands-on experience with Ruby testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest, Capybara) and automation tools
- Experience using, integrating, or tutoring others with AI/ML or LLM-powered testing/coding solutions in Ruby projects
- Code review experience is a must
- Hackathon or competitive coding experience is a plus
- Your level of English is advanced (C1) or above
- You are ready to learn new methods, able to switch between tasks and topics quickly and sometimes work with challenging, complex guidelines
- Our freelance role is fully remote so, you just need a laptop, internet connection, time available and enthusiasm to take on a challenge
