Job Description

• Responsible for the preparation of QMS documents applicable to Electrical Projects e.g. Project Quality Plan. ITPs, Procedures etc.
• Responsible for overall management of day-to-day quality activities, Supervision and implementation of Contract quality and technical requirements; resolution of quality problems; preparation and maintenance of Contract quality records.
• Conducting Quality Audits / inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with the Owner/Owner’s Engineer representative for QA/QC matters.
• Collaborating with Construction Manager/Site Engineers for compliance and resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Responsible for preparing necessary Work Procedures ( Method Statements) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP )
• Responsible for Implementing QA/QC procedures & ITP towards Subcontract portion of works and generating reports for job completion and deviations .
• Coordinating Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at Manufacturer’s Premises, including coordination with Client & Consultants to ensure flawless FAT as per the schedule.
• Conducting material Inspection for incoming material at site as per the Project Specifications & Applicable GA Drawings / Estimates / Purchase orders and arranging Timely Client Inspection and preparation of Materials Receipt cum Damage Report .
• Inspection of Completed Jobs at Site level inline with Approved Drawings and Coordination of Client Inspection and certification.
• Coordination with client and Site team for closure of Snag points
• Preparation of Weekly/Monthly Quality Report at site and submission to Client.
• Responsible for preparation of red mark-up Construction and Vendor GA Drawings.
• Coordination and Collection of Protection Red mark-up Drawings
• Review of as built Version of Drawings inline with Submitted Red mark-up drawings
• Maintaining all Quality Records in line with Project requirement.
• Site Store Management and Implementation of materials preservation as per vendor manual and approved procedures
• Managing Quality Walkdowns to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Responsible for coordination for auditing activities – internal, external, and follow up and close out of Corrective Actions.
• Responsible for review, verification and closing of non-conformities.
• Compilation of final as built documentation as per the Project and customer requirements and further submission to Owner/Owner’s Engineer for review and approval, which includes the submissions required for Taking Over Certificate and Final Acceptance Certificate (Gate Documents and GIS Data).

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech/BE) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in Quality Management Systems, with at least 8 years specifically in Transmission and Distribution (T&D) projects.
• Proven expertise in quality management throughout all project phases, including design/engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Certified Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
• Well-versed in relevant codes and standards applicable to Electrical Transmission and Distribution projects.
• Familiar with industry standards and procedures followed by PDO, OETC, NED, and similar authorities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.

Job Description

• Responsible for all project-related activities.
• Reviewing the Baseline schedule and ensuring the activities are progressing as per agreed schedule.
• Preparing, Tracking of Document Control Schedule & Procurement Register and planning of design and procurement activities accordingly.
• Coordination with design and engineering team and ensuring the design is done as per clients’ specification with best engineering practices and optimization without compromising on quality and safety.
• Coordination with supply chain management group for procurement related activities, ensuring timely releasing of RFQs, getting offers from vendors, closing clarifications and technical evaluation.
• Coordination with vendors for timely engineering drawings submission and approval, monitoring the manufacturing at various stages for major equipment to ensure timely manufacturing & delivery, quality inspection, delivery, billing client and payment to vendors as per payment terms.
• Mobilization of site team and erection contractor and ensuring all erection related activities are carried out as per project schedule with best utilization of manpower and resources.
• Coordination with client and client’s consultant regarding all the activities of the project ensuring timely approval of drawings, quality plans, safety plans and reporting the overall progress of the project.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans and specifications. Perform basic quality control inspections of materials and workmanship. Identify and report any safety hazards or discrepancies to the reporting manager.
• Monitoring the project expenses with the help of Project financial controller and ensuring all the activities including procurement and erection activities are completed within the budgeted limit.
• Achieve the overall project effectiveness for timely completion and with desirable quality and safety standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate Electrical Engineers with over 10 years of experience specializing in Project Management, Vendor Coordination, and Site Management including Installation, Testing & Commissioning for HV and EHV electrical projects from 33KV up to 400 KV. Expertise includes Transmission and Distribution Projects spanning sub-stations, power plants, and industrial projects.
