- Review and administration of contracts and contract changes, accurate preparation of monthly contract reviews and contractual claims.
- Submitting reports as per the Contract – to be reviewed by PM & CM
- Good negotiations with clients of contracts in terms of monthly valuations, variations, terms and conditions.
- Compilation, management and negotiations of contractual claims both up and downstream and able to undertake claims avoidance measures.
- To promptly manage in consultation with the Commercial Manager and bring to satisfactory outcome any arbitration notices or legal action issued by or against the company.
- To ensure all contracts commercial operations are in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies.
- Co-operation and liaison with the Company’s Managing Estimator in terms of pre and post tender contractual and commercial advice including preparing and maintaining live commercial risk registers.
- Co-operation and liaison with the company’s Operations Manager to ensure sound commercial operation of all ongoing contracts to ensure successful financial outcomes of all operations.
- To aid in the ongoing continuous improvement of commercial management systems and procedures which ensure contract requirements are met and the company’s position is protected in all ongoing trading activities.
- Providing advice on contractual claims.
- Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
Valuing completed work and arranging payments
Requirements
Education :
Degree in relative discipline or its equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in onshore oil and gas construction.

We are looking for a Civil Inspector to be based in Oman to support a project (initial duration of 1 year, with a possible 1-year extension). The suitable candidate will conduct regular inspection of civil assets of the plant such as concrete, steel, timber, insulation on equipment and piping system, and coating of plant equipment and piping, to ensure the safety and integrity of the civil assets of OLNG.
Job Description
- Conduct civil inspection of all critical assets (such as LNG & condensate storage tanks, weir boxes, and furnaces, buildings' structural elements and jetties) on a periodic basis
- Conduct regular inspection of civil assets of the plant such as concrete, steel, timber, insulation on equipment and piping system, and coating of plant equipment and piping, to ensure the safety and integrity of the civil assets of OLNG.
- Check and ensure that coating systems are maintained in a fit for purpose condition to avoid external corrosion, inspect all kind of coating and painting applications within the plant such as pipelines, vessels, and columns
- Check and inspect the heat resistant liners of combustion equipment, e.g., furnaces, gas turbines, exhaust stacks, etc to ensure they are maintained in fit for purpose condition
- Inspect all fireproof material for the protection of steel structure
- Ensure that hot and cold insulation on equipment and piping systems are maintained in optimal condition to avoid Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI)
- Participate in incident investigation and Root cause Analysis (RCA) related to inspection and degradation mechanism for civil incidents
- Monitor performance and evaluation of material deterioration as well as analyse product failure data and decide appropriate testing to determine cause of problems and develop solutions.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Record and maintain the inspection data and history, provide transparent access to all as and when required
- Review the data acquired from testing all the equipment and structures, and determine the best analysis technique to generate meaningful insights
- Prepare and maintain civil inspection report with short / long term repairs / replacements, material inward inspection, repair details of individual civil assets, static equipment, and pipeline at OLNG for future reference.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. or B Eng in Civil Engineering
- TA3 civil certified.
- 5 years' Experience Relevant oil and gas industry
