Policy Manager – Islamic Banking

Full Job Description

•Handling of policies & procedures framework for Islamic Window (IW) of BankDhofar
•Analyze, understand and develop policies, procedures, processes and charters for the smooth functioning of the organization
•Ensure the conversion (translation) of document both way English –Arabic and explain the same whenever required.
•Identification of the gap, from the standpoint of the requirement of the document, in policies & procedures framework of IW.
•Undertake the development of new documents for Islamic Window by studying, researching and benchmarking with other competitor banks as well as internal current practices
•Review the document prepared by other departments or external parties for Islamic Window.
•Ensure to comply with laid down review process for documents of Islamic Window..
•Coordinate with all stakeholders, control functions, business units and other concerned departments for timely review and completion of documentation
•Present the documents and details to all concerned for any clarification including SSB in coordination with Head of Sharia.
•Ensure timely notification and explanation of new policies and procedures for Islamic Window..
•Acts as custodian of all documents for Islamic Window..
•Undertake administrative function for implementation of policies and procedures for Islamic Window.
•Evaluation for smooth implantation of policies and procedures as well as to maintain adherence to implemented policies
•Other tasks assigned from time to time by CIBO

Oman National preferred
•A candidate should be a University degree holder with 5 -7 years’ experience in similar function with an Islamic Financial Institutions experience preferred.
•Should possess in-depth knowledge of the policies, procedures and operations of Islamic Financial Institutions.
•Should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
