Emergency Nurse

who is well trained and highly motivated individual to develop her/his professional career within the MCMSS.Education/Qualifications:· BSc in Nursing + Post Graduate Diploma in emergency Nursing + > 5 years’ experience in the area of specialty.· BSc in Nursing + > 5 years’ experience in the area of specialty.· Valid BLS + ACLSExperience Post-Qualifications:- Total 15 years of experience- Not less than 5 years’ experience in nursing management.Job Duties/Responsibilities:· Systematically assesses, triage patients and allocate them to the appropriate treatment area.· Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care plans for trauma and other emergency cases.· Monitors patient’s vital signs and initiates corrective emergency actions whenever the patient displays adverse symptoms.· Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications; and reports adverse reactions to medications.· Proves knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care.· Assists with the insertion or discontinuation of central venous catheters, arterial lines, chest drains and endotracheal tubes.· Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators, ECG, ABG and analyses lab results.· Involves in education and teaching of patients and caregivers.Provide training to newly joined staff in the Unit.Involves in education and teaching of patients and caregivers.Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of MCMSS.Performs all duties assigned to his designation.Performs all relevant interventions related to his/her field of specialization.Completes and maintains her/ his set of clinical privileges.Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the chairperson / head of the department.Salary will be based upon qualification, experience and available vacancies, using Oman Medical Bylaw.Interested candidates should apply with CV and letter of interest via the
